Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

any way to disable haptic feedback in messenger? I'm using 0.6.5 and I just have this feeling that the battery will die off a lot quicker if the motor runs every time I hit a letter/number lol

Also, I'm seeing what looks like a ram leak (it's alpha, so it goes without saying there will be bugs lol) . I start off with 200-ish MB free, and after about 10 minutes I'm down to 120-ish and it just gets lower and lower. I have 2 screens and hardly any widgets. Also, the only apps I've installed besides the GAPPS are JuiceDefender, Advanced Task Killer, and File Manager.

Other than that, and the lack of camera (which I understand is not the Devs' fault) I'm absolutely loving this! I'm probably going to keep it rather than going back to TG-CM7.

This what I did.
1.Backed up the system Music.apk
2.Uninstall it
3.Reboot
4.Install the new CM9.apk
5.There you go.

I did all that but it kept acting weird, it would randomly stop and start. Eventually it was doing it every 15-20 sec. This was with headphones in. It would freeze up and force stop. I liked the look, but figured I'd wait for a couple up updates on the ICS rom and try it again.

Check and see what's running. Maybe uninstall that task killer too?

For disabling haptic on the keyboard, go to input settings, then keyboard settings and then in the settings for the default keyboard there is a check box for vibrate on touch

Edit: I KNEW IT! gary set something wrong on his config file...the right bumper is set to the little carrot key in the middle next to the media controls :D I feel like I just made a discovery if you can change that key back to the bumper by all means mantera

Still testing BT and wifi on seems to be a little flaky but ok for now...and getting better :)

I have no idea what that button would be. You'll need to figure out what actual button number that is by editing the Vendor_2378_product_100a.kl file and pushing it to your phone and then testing.

Once you figure out the correct button number, let me know and I can include it in the future.

When playing music, if my phones screen is off, if I hit the power button to wake it up the lock screen shows the music playing for a brief second then disappears. I know on my friends Samsung vibrant his music controls show up on the lock screen (he's running an ICS rom on his as well). I'm using the Apex launcher just so you know.

Same thing happens when I turn it on and see my home screen for a brief sec b4 I c my lock screen.

Right bumper is key 312

carrot key is 311
If you can edit that since I don't have a comp and switch em it would be awesome :)

I used this to figure out the numbers

Got it working! :D just opened it in a text editor and put right bumper as 312 instead of 311 works like a charm!

Ok, I switched it as well and it'll be in the next build. I don't know what the caret function does. What does it do?

i disagree, with whyzors latest kernal, cm7 is still much smoother and faster, not to mention feature complete. remember this is alpha.

Well, to each their own. I'm going back to CM7 tomorrow just because I need my cameras to work. But the instant the cameras and adobe flash support are working in CM9, I'm reloading it.

It's a great rom, even in alpha. And CM7 might have more features...but not for long lol

How's the performance of this rom? Is it as smooth as CM9 on other phones? Should I wait til it gets a bit more smoother?

Let's put it this way. This has been my daily driver since 0.6.4 first came out. Once you install Nova launcher, you could convince me that this phone was running stock ICS with a dual core processor. It's snappy. smooth transitions. and other than the camera (which I honestly rarely use and don't care about and you probably already know about) I personally don't find any problems. I don't know if I just have the right set up, but my Triumph became more valuable because of this alpha (Thanks go up to the devs! you guys are awesome!)

I was following ICS development on the Triumph back in December but once Isaac left I kind of stopped paying attention. Yesterday, just for chuckles and grins, I decided to see how much has been accomplished so far. All I can say is, "WOW". You guys have come such a long way. I am using v0.6.5 as my daily.
If this is only in alpha stages... I am a fat kid licking the cold glass just trying to get a taste of the ice cream sandwhich. Can't wait for future updates!
Continue the awesome work Devs!
