Help Is anyone from Upstate NY Here? And How is Ur Service?

I live in Rochester NY and My phone hasnt been the best I ve had signal issues and drop calls?? How about you?

Live in Irondequoit, work in Webster. I'm lucky to get 4G at my house but I'm on wifi so no biggie. At work, I flop between 3G and 4G UNLESS I'm near a Verizon store (Holt Road or Greece-Ridge) where I get solid 4G.

The Verizon people insist there are no repeaters in their stores but the signal is always great.

Live in albany. Service is great just about everywhere in albany/troy, except at school. The concrete murders my 4g. Never dropped a call, though i did once have my incoming audio stop working... that was interesting.

In Binghamton, my 3G connection has no problems with dropped calls.

I dream of 4g..

Albany, NY here.

Occasional loss of 4G (but I think it's my Nexus' fault)

Otherwise, service is excellent.

I'm from Rochester as well, more specifically the henrietta area. I haven't had any issues with my phone signal or dropping calls since I bought it other than the known occassions with national outages. I constantly have 3-4 bars and lte is always between 14-20mbps. I know inside a lot of the MCC buildings are dead zones though since I work there. Current signal fluctuates between -75 and -83dbm. I'm running the 4.0.4 Imm30B leak with those newer radios incase that makes a difference.

in syracuse ny, signal is great with 3-4 bars. live about 20 min north and signal about 2 bars.

im also running 4.0.4 which improved signal alot (along with other things). in syracuse i didnt really see a change but at home, pre 4.0.4 i would rarely get a 4g signal.

Between Rochester and Syracuse in the Finger Lakes. 4g comes and goes. 3g is pretty solid. No lost calls. My Droid X and my wife's Tbolt have better signal though (measured in dbm, not bars). Don't pay attention to the bars-- they aren't comparable. That said the radio in the GNex isnt the best.

I'm in Latham and I had my GN for about a day before I send it back for service (I bought off Craigslist so Verizon is out of the picture). I couldn't hold a 4g signal and it would go from 3 bars of 4g to no mobile connection at all. I'll let you know when I get it back but so far I think it's the phone and not the area.
