[Verizon] [MOD] Fullscreen 1280 x 720 (3/4/12)

Its all going good on my unit. I just t need to know what "single Touch Gestures" is?

I also miss my "Hold Back Button to Kill Apps".

the jury is still out but I'm gonna run it a while.

There are no single touch gestures in the LMT app yet. He plans to include in future builds, but the implementation of it would be very difficult imo.

Hold back to kill should be available in future builds yet, just not now.

Enjoy all 4.65 glorious inches of SAMOLED goodness!

to anyone who is using button savior:

is there an option to put the icons on the bottom? of course i could always just download it and try for myself, but figured i'd ask first. :p

There is an option to put the buttons right where the nav bar used to be. You can also set it to not timeout but it does get in the way occasionally. You can still minimize it when needed. I'm trying Lmt with the pie wheel right now. Liking it more at the moment. Button savour forced closed on me once yesterday which left me with no option but to reboot.

This is my favorite mod so far!

I keep tying b and n when meaning to hit the space bar since it used to live where that row of letters lives:(

Yeah I have caught some posts of mine looking like this "for.some reason.I.keep putting."." in some.posts"

I like that autocorrect was updated from GB to ICS to add a space when you type something likevthis

I flashed this mod on Saturday and really diggin the full screen sweetness. I tried both button savior and LMT. I also experienced lag with button savior and switched to LMT. Using pie/back button to exit apps takes a little more time than the stock back button. However, the trade off to view full screen videos is awesome!

I tried button savior for a bit seeing as I suggest it but liked LMT more. I have gotten very used to using it to go back out of apps so that isn't a real issue for me. I have noticed that trying to use the gestures it is really touchy and takes it's sweet time

One thing I have noticed and maybe it is only when battery life is low, but sometimes the only usable button is the multitask button and I have to power down then up to navigate the phone again. Could be my kernel. Could be that I modded the app to allow for the pie to be called upon at a greater height than the default settings. I don't know.

I don't like the gestures at all, for the record.

Yeahha,

I can't believe that it's a bug I flashed .9 and had to go back to .85 because on .9 certain buttons were blocking out the screen as if I hit the sleep button you're so lucky what rom are you on?

I am on Liquid not sure of the version but it should be the most recent. I am using LMT .85 and didn't even know there was an update. I installed it as a regular app not a system app(flashing it or at least that is my assumption)

I can believe it is a bug, some error in the code causing things to fail, not too much different than a force close ;)

FWIW the issue you are having with the back button is actually a new feature for .9

0.9 -> Fixed Galaxy S ICS support; Added support for PieControl on both sides; Added 2 new commands: KillApp and KillAllApps; Added longpress support for PieControl: Back->KillApp, Home->PowerOff, Recent->KillAllApps, Menu->Settings and Search->VoiceSearch

Ok I finally got my phone unlocked and rooted. Now though when I go to try and do the full screen mod it doesn't seem to work. First the pie menu only works for recent apps. It won't work with any other buttons. Then when I try to do the full screen mod it just goes into a boot loop. Not for sure what I am doing wrong.

No that sounds right. Sorry to ask what may be a dumb question but are you downloading the zip for your rom (same version) and have you flashed any mods other than this one to your rom? Also how long are you letting it bootloop? Sometimes it can take longer after a flash to boot.

You may want to try it and clear clear cache and dalvik cache before flashing to see if that remedies the issue.

There is an alternative way to install the mod by extracting the systemUI.apk from the zip and pasting it in /system/framework using a file explorer (root explorer or ES) you could try that to see if that helps but make sure you have a backup because it will cause the phone to reboot after you paste the apk.

The only thing I have flashed now is the 4.0.4 update. That seems to be working fine. I am not for sure how to get back to 4.0.2 if I need to. Also I let it boot loop for like 15 minutes before I did a battery pull. I really want this to work. It's really why I rooted the phone. I am not for sure how to do it your other way. That seems really involed.

There is a version for 4.0.4 but I am not sure this will work for roms that aren't deodexed. Try clearing dalvik cache then flashing to see if that resolves the issue

ok I think I am giving up. I flashed it all the way back to stock. Relocked the bootloader. Then I unlocked it again and rooted the phone again. So now I am on 4.0.2. I still can't get it to come out of the boot loop. Plus I tried to flash another rom and it just bootloops. I can't figure this out for the life of me. They only thing that actually flashes right is the update to 4.0.4 but I don't want to put that back on to see if I can get this to work. I just don't get it. It should just boot right up. Plus what would cause another custom rom to just bootloop as well?

Yes I have wiped everything cleared everything and basically started from a fresh root to be honest. I am not for sure what you mean by checking the md5 thing. Sorry I am quite new at this. I am probably just going to re lock my phone and go back to stock plus the nova launcher.

I just googled this for you ---> Md5 how to

To me your frequent bootloops sound like you've dnld'd and flashed an incompatible mod for the ROM you are on. Frameworks are not matching up and borking your boot.

Are you positive you have the correct files?
