Opinions on phone

My father got this phone from Wind Mobile. At first I was worried that he would hate the phone, but after a few weeks he's saying it's not bad.

My own opinion is as follows:

  • The OS: Very responsive! Very smooth! Way better than how I'd expect a 600Mhz device to run 2.1.
  • Screen: Low res, but has a good refresh rate. Small size.
  • Input: Resistive touchscreen, no multi-touch, very responsive with most things, finger tips have trouble sometimes. Physical buttons good also, can feel a bit cheap sometimes, although I'm used to my Milestone.
  • Audio: Ear piece is just fine, speaker phone is absolutely useless, BT work well though.

Not sure what else to add to that list. One thing I want to emphasize though, who ever built the ROM for this phone did one hell of a good job! This is one of the fastest ROMs I've played with on a phone with this kind of CPU clock speed.

This phone plays Angry Birds smoother than my Milestone overclocked to 900Mhz (stock speed is 550Mhz), and much better than my wife's LG Shine Plus (also 600Mhz).

If you're looking for a low-end, cheap android device that delivers, then this is a good place to start shopping.

i have one of these,
it is my 17th android and definatly the worst.
amongst my resistive screen phone collection( sony ericcseon p800, htc smart, htc tattoo, alcacrap 980) it has the worst screen response, so hit and miss,
as soon as i can root and sell i will,
not only can the french not play rugby, they cannot make phones, how many other companies in 2012 make phones with RESISTIVE screens,
?????????????????????????

I can't get any of the Angry Bird games to install.
