One Android Marketplace account, multiple phones

What's to stop someone from sharing their Marketplace account info with someone else so they can both use the paid apps? To take it a step further, what's to stop all of us from sharing one account and thousands of people sharing the same paid app

AS POSTED BELOW: Yes I understand this is probably against the terms and conditions of the marketplace. Yes, I understand and agree the developer gets screwed and this isn't fair. But lighten up. We're on a message board that discusses how to root every Android phone and tether for free too. It's just a place to discuss an idea.

Sorry, but I don't understand what u really want...

a) you are a user, you have bought an app with your account, you want to stop others from using this account/app. then don't give others access to your account. if they already got it, change your google account password.

or

b) you are a developer and you are searching for a way to secure that when some is buying your app, that he gives a (e.g.) serial number to somebody (maybe thousands) of other users and they don't pay you

or

c) something else

What's the point?

Yeah, this thought crossed my mind also. I have an android phone and tablet, and have bought games for my tablet (actually paid for them) but can also download them for free on my phone now.
I would have thought there was a limit to how many devices you can store the apps/games on. Similar to how you are limited to a certain amount of computers that you can install windows and microsoft office on.

I'm assuming this is why all/most apps require access to the phones ID.

PC software is often bound to 1 pc, PC games have limits of installing them on just 3 devices for instance, but just use one of them at a time. If you got a 4th device, u have to revoke one of the other licenses, and your are fu**ed up if this device is e.g. crashed/stolen etc. There are lots of examples (EA, Ubisoft, etc.).

So, if i buy an android app, then i'm happy to use it on any of my android devices and if i got a new device, i can use it there, too.

This is possible, because it's bound to the account, not the phone. Mind me if i'm wrong, but this sounds comfortable, not like a disadvantage.

But i would never share my account so that a thousand friends can use the app, too. And therefore the developer doesn't get a penny. I wouldn't do that, not only because i support developers, but i can't be sure that someone who uses my acc, is not buying apps, getting my credit card number or doing some stuff on google with the acc.

This was more of a curiosity than anything else.

Morals and principle aside, but this could work?

#1 = So my entire family could use one Marketplace account and all share the same apps. I trust none of them will steal my personal info or go on a shopping spree.

#2 = If you could attach a credit card to an account, buy stuff, then remove it but yet still use the apps..... you could let all your friends log into your Marketplace account, download all your apps, then log out. Right?

Again, yes I understand this is probably against the terms and conditions of the marketplace. Yes, I understand and agree the developer gets screwed and this isn't fair. But lighten up.
