Photon or Galaxy S2

The only reasons to get the S2 over the photon is if you want to play high def mkvs and/or can't stand the pentile display on the photon. That's about it.

The Photon has better radios, better build quality, better battery life, better gaming experience, and more features.

Better accessories (e.g. HD dock, lapdock, car dock).

I have to differ with your statement "the only reasons". The reasons can be both objective and subjective, so there isn't a limit as to how many reasons.

I would add screen size difference (I happen to love the big S2 screen), and as has been mentioned by others, the camera on the S2 is far superior. The camera quality was important to me. The build quality on the S2 is very good, in my opinion. It may be a plastic material, but drop it and it has a good chance at survival, and I get no creaks or anything else from mine. Battery life in my experience (and I carried the Photon for almost 3 weeks) is far better on the S2. Matter of fact, this is the best battery life I've experienced personally. Gaming, only if the games are optimized for the Nvidia processor. Otherwise, the S2 can keep up quite well. The Photon had stuttering (although quite possibly due to the Moto interface and not hardware) whereas my S2 does not. My point is that your statement needs to be qualified with your own experience or opinion. It boils down to user preference for the most part. I absolutely do not regret turning my Photon back in and going for the Sammy. This may be the first phone that satisifies me for a 2 year contract duration.
