Note keyboard...

Is there anyway to add the symbols to the keyboard. I mean, to long press a letter and itll give you a comma or question mark or something.. Ive come from an htc and i found it really helpfull to have them. Ive seen videos on youtube for the note and it has them even on the tw keyboard. I know i can download a different keyboard but this is just bugging me. Cheers and hapoy christmas everyone..

I use Swiftkey Tablet X Keyboard, works well with the Note and does what you want. PLEASE NOTE (excuse the pun!), it's Swiftkey TABLET X you want, not Swiftkey X. The latter is different.

I am using the Swiftkey X phone version on the Note. Does the tablet version do anything different?

Probably does nothing different, but I think the tablet version is designed for higher resolutions. You can also have split keyboard, can you do that in the phone version?

No, there is no split keyboard for the phone version. Will that make a difference on the NOTE?

I use Thumb Keyboard, that can be configured for phone/tablet use. It has a split keyboard for typing with thumbs in the horizontal position and also separate number and arrow keys.
I can recommend this keyboard, works very well on the Note. It has international dictionaries too, if needed.

I use thumb keyboard as well. And i think i can type almost twice faster. But it doesn't seem to be 100% compatible with Note. When you use TK, there is no option for pen option. And it also gives error when you try to switch to pen on note app(if i don't recall it wrong) But its still the best for typing on Note.

I have had a look at both Swiftkey X and Swiftkey Tablet X.

While Tablet X is easier to type with it does seem very lacking in some of the functionality and configuration options as well as available symbols on the main keyboard that the other version has.

I as well use thumb keyboard for my note, and it certainly has made my typing much faster. And the themes are a nice touch.

Swiftkey is similar to the swype input method that comes with the GN?
