Help Verizon GNex signal issue, complete drop

the new 4.0.4 that the rooters have access to is pretty nice, but of course you can just flash the radios/basebands

so if you feel the urge, you can root and unlock your nexus, and deodex your rom, or download the deodexed 4.0.3 rom, boot to it, and then flash the 4.0.4 radio's and basebands and you should see a significance in the signal restoration, and strength

I'm curious why would you suggest deodex'ing anything or loading a deodex'd rom when he is just going to flash the radios?

Just got my GF and I Nexus's last night and were having this same problem.

Had 4g for maybe the first hour we had the phones. Then it went to 3g then completely dropped signal. I tried the airplane mode on both phones and still no dice.

Should I go for a replacement or try rooting and hoping for better results? :/

The most reliable network in the world is down yet again. I finally have 3G (barely). Not the phone's fault this morning.
