I'm an iPad2 user. I ordered the new iPad, but I really like the form factor and screen of the Samsung galaxy tab 7.7. I was almost going to purchase it at the Verizon store last week. The one thing that made me second guess it was the browser.
I noticed that as I panned and zoom around in web pages in the android browser, that the screen kept repainting in certain areas. It wasn't smooth like on my ipad2. The regular iPad just showed a checkerboard for areas of the screen when it was rendering.
I noticed this on some other android tablets too.
It seems
Ike the CPU on these devices should be plenty fast to render web pages. So is it just that the android browser doesn't cache very well? Or what is going on?
Will ICS be better? I really want to purchase this tablet, but I may end up just sticking with apple. I'm really anti-apple, but I use my ipad2 for a lot of web browsing.
