So I am looking for a FAST stable release... I am currently on the cm9 alpha.. What is the overall census on what rom is fast and stable...
Cm7 ticker guy?
Cm7 reloaded?
Cm9 alpha?
MIUI?
I would like to know if this MIUI 4.0 is decent or even working yet

Well as of now, CM7 Reloaded and MIUI seem to be the most stable. The other roms are still missing some functionality like the cameras working and other stuff a long side it. Maybe in a few weeks or months that will change though

The ICS version of MIUI isn't stable and doesn't have many things working yet so if you want to go with MIUI it'd be the CM7 based rom (MIUI 1.11.25)

Yes the older version of miui is amazing, if you like themes its great, not only does it have amazing themes you can pick and choose dialers and lockscreens, text themes, and peice em all together, it seems more smooth looking, runs amazing, its a perfect rom minus HDMI. I ran cm7 experia for the longest, it's all preference but miui wont do you wrong

Yes you can overclock MIUI by using SpeedDemon 5.6.

and the way you would do it to change lockscreen is settings>theme>edit theme> lock screen.

I have flashed it through cwm but can't see where to overclock like I can in cm7, cm9

You gotta download No Frills CPU from the Android Market...or Play Store, whatever its called now. Then open that app and you can overclock, at your own risk of course.

watch this video It'll help you with the overclocking and what not. It's pretty much the same thing Chingling stated but this way it makes a bit more sense.

Hey Nyco, thanks for asking all the hard questions.

I also have a good question:

I love the new features and functionality that come with rom-ing but one thing that I don't like about it are the force closes or soft reboots.

Could anyone tell me if either the MIUI or the CM7 Reloaded have any of these issues and how common they are?

I love my Triumph but froyo keeps it feeling archaic. But as crappy as froyo is, it is rock solid. It has never FC'd on me before.

Also keep in mind* on miui a few nifty shortcuts are set such as on your lockscreen hold home, and your flashlight activates, or menu and vol down snaps a screenshot, but booting into cwm is power off, then vol up+vol down+power unless you flash a new power off menu

i think this site should follow suite with sdx there should be sections for questions and for builds as well as development other wise i wish this was on sdx cause it is more geared to development this site lacks in clarity .

MIUI with SDKernel is fairly stable, but doesn't have some of the newer features in CM7 Reloaded or as good of battery life. CM7 TG Reloaded is very stable for me and most others, a few have reported FCs, but they're unreproducible so it could be apps, settings, or phone hardware, which applies to flashing any ROM, just have to follow directions carefully.

I would have to say that Whyzors CM7 reloaded continued from TickerGuys CM7 is the fastest most stable rom out there right now with the latest drivers this rom browses just as smooth as CM9 right now and has great battery life as well when managed properly. I am watching the CM9 thread closely though. I tried CM9 for a while but 3g and wifi are just not stable enough for me yet and without the camera. it is just not ready for prime time. It is alpha after all.

Yes, but the few hours I ran cm9 my mind was blown, if it can get as smooth and grand as cm7 has gotten it will be wicked
