Complaints of multi-touch problems on Apps and Games have been quite predominant with the Nexus One. Many people directed complaints to developers of the specific app or game but it appears that could be misguided criticism. Robert Green of Battery Powered Games decided to do a little test and created an app that only [...]

It's not that it's inferior. Samsung is the only maker of AMOLED touchscreens for mobile devices. So, that being said, it's not that it's inferior as it is not a widely adopted technology yet. So, it's still very much in its infancy. The fact that it has these problems is probably related to how new the technology is. Whatever MT problems this screen has will likely show up on the Samsung Omnia II and the HTC Desire.

What's more, the screen's resolution isn't even 800x480. It's far less because Samsung chose to use a 2x2 subpixel structure. This is why they call it "Visual VGA". It only appears to the human eye as 800x480, but technically isn't. Again, not that it's inferior as it is a new technology that hasn't been widely adopted. So, it is what it is.

It's new technology, unproven, and immature. Yes, it is inferior until it matures into something that overcomes what we have currently in all aspects.

Why do you keep posting this? I count at least three times in other forums I have seen this from you. Stop with the FUD'n around, will ya!

[sigh]

This issue here has NOTHING to do with the display! It's the touch panel! The axis flipping is a software issue that can be easliy fixed. The panel happens to be a Synaptics ClearPad 2000. A high quality part that's been around a few years and is found on other htc handsets.

I think you are jealous of how good the N1's (or any AMOLED) screen is. You have a Motorola Droid and just can't stop putting down the N1 any chance you get. Why the hate? We are supporting Android here and that is what matters.

I've notice ever since the N1 came out, not only was it attacked from all fronts, but also from other Android users. The bulk of which are Droid users. I'm not saying all, just a nasty few. As a G1 user from the very start, there were better handsets released during the time I owned it. I never felt bitter about new Android handsets that was better than my G1. There will always be better handsets coming out... always. It is an endless cycle. So deal with and stop posting BS!

I agree with the droid thing, they think they have the best android phone, and won't hear otherwise. Personally I like my moment over the droid ANY day. The AMOLED is amazingly clear, easy on the eyes, etc. The keyboard in infinitely better as well. And as for speed they are comparable, and Motorola really doesn't make and real quality products, outside Military spec nextels, which still don't do so well as a PHONE. So I think they are jealous they have been had.
