Facebook pics not updating in contacts

My contacts are linked to my Facebook, but when someone changes their Facebook profile pic, my "caller ID" image for them isn't updating. I saw this on another post:

If your facebook contact has changed their picture and you want to update it on your phone, go to People > Online Directory > Facebook > Click refresh.

I tried this, but when I go to "Facebook" in the online directory there is no refresh option on the screen or in the menu.

I have also tried syncing my Facebook account under my Android settings, and nothing changed.

And lastly, I have tried un-linking a contact from Facebook (as a test) and then re-linking them. Still their old Facebook profile pic came up.

Could someone please tell me if there is a way to update the contact pics? I am getting sick of seeing pics from 6 months ago.

I have always had the same problem and now I just use an app called SyncMyPix which does the same thing. Best part is that you can set it to never sync unless you manually click it, or set it to sync after a certain amount of days/weeks.

Ok, I tried that app. I let it sync for about 20 minutes. It said it sycned all the pictures, but nothing changed in my contacts. Uninstall.

Ive had this same issue i believe the cache is keeping the old images rather than updating, on my galaxy i fixed this issue by flushing the cache, goto settings on the browser and select and choose clear cache see if that works.

Did you click Sync no contacts on the official fb app? Clear data/cache too.

Obviously something went wrong on your end since it works great for me. That is, of course, I'm just flipping magical.

I clear the cache of every app that allows it about 2 times a week... The Desire has almost no storage space so I have to do this to prevent getting the "low space" notification. I even deleted all data for the Facebook app, and that didn't work.

I have Facebook set to auto sync every two hours. My app only has an option to sync or not, a checkbox which I have checked to sync. I have also done several manual syncs today.

Dude, what I said was to clear cache/date then try SyncMyPix again. Let me list it so you can understand what MIGHT fix it

Clear date/cache
Log in to facebook
Set to "Do not Sync"
Download SyncMyPix
Start scan

If it doesn't work, then good luck finding a fix.
