Help Extended battery worth it?

For half price, its a steal. I seem to get around a extra hour and a half or so out of the extended battery, as opposed to the stock one. I was going to buy a second battery anyway, might as well get a larger one. I've actually found the extra battery is much less of a headache than having extra usb cords for the occasional plug in as I did with my old phone.

My battery came today ... I was alittle concerned that the battery cover that the battery came with was gonna a look cheap, I was wrong, It pretty much exactly the same color as my Nexus .. Well impressed, As said above ..
If you didn't know it, you'd think it was factory
Now there is a slight lip on the back of my phone with this battery added where the larger battery\cover now fits and my phone is slightly heavier ... This has in my opinion actually worked out to be a good thing. Before the phone was a lot, lot lighter than it looks, I was also really thin, This sometimes made the phone seem slippery and it almost slipped out of my hands a couple of times .. Now though with the extra lip on the back and the added weight it just feels more comfortable in my hand and it hasn't slipped once yet ... It just fits the hand a lot better in my opinion.

Usually after i have charged the phone all night and took it to work the next day, I would come home and there would be like 1 quarter of battery left and that's only with pretty light usage.

I'm looking forward to charging overnight and seeing whats left tomorrow when i get home from work.

I can already tell this battery is gonna be a lot better than the stock battery.

Stock battery = 1750mah.

New battery = 3800mah.(cost

I would ABSOLUTELY say it's worth it. In my experience with the standard battery, if I didn't charge the phone at all during the day, I would make it home at 5 PM with under 25% battery remaining. This was with 4G turned off. I would classify myself as a moderate user. Also at this point, the "new phone" factor has worn off, so I'm not constantly touching it. I don't have the phone to my ear all day, and I'm not constantly on facebook on it, but I do listen to XM radio from ~9 - 11, then again from 3 - 5. In between I typically have dog catcher playing podcasts, so while the phone isn't on, it's not sitting idle either. I have disabled facebook notifications, but I do have gmail and corp mail pushing to my phone (corp mail is through Touchdown).

After the extended battery, I leave 4G turned on all the time, as well as bluetooth and WiFi, and under the same scenario, I get home with well over 50% left. I have actually let the phone sit mostly unused on a weekend day while camping (decent 3G signal area) with everything turned on, WiFi on but no hotspot in range. I did grab it a few times, made a few phone calls and sent a few texts. Battery was at 35%, but I had 22 hours since it was last plugged in. For my money, that's AMAZING battery, far better than anything I had on my DroidX, or the iPhone 3G (when I had that).

If you can get the battery for $25, get it. I'd even say that at full price, for the improvement I've seen, it would be worth it.

My new 3800mah battery is fantastic ... I put it in yesterday and left it fully charge over night before i before left work at 7:00am this morning ... I got home just after 4pm with around 60% still left on the battery!

My typical day usage at work is using 3G, WiFi off, Bluetooth off, NFC off, Receiving emails, Sending and receiving texts, Browsing the web on my break as well as messing with apps\games on break-times & the odd phone call & checking Facebook a couple of times a day, Because i have only had the phone a couple of days too im pretty much constantly fiddling with it ... Its my new toy lol, Ive actually been using it more than normal today too just to test the battery out.

With the stock battery there would have been maybe 20-25% battery left(probably even less today)when i got home from work at between 4-5pm & i would have to have plugged it straight in to charge ... Right now its 8:15pm, I still haven't plugged it in to charge and there is still 56% left on the battery.

I dare say with light usage you could maybe even push 3 days without a need to charge.

Well worth the

ATOJAR where did you buy the battery from please??

I bought this >
1
eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

Honestly well worth the money, I was expecting it to be better but this battery has far exceeded my expectations .. Even now its 10:38pm ... I STILL haven't plugged it in to charge and it STILL has the 56% left. The extended back cover the battery comes with is great too, If you didn't know it you would never guess it wasn't actually the stock back cover that came with the phone.

The extended back cover and battery make the phone that little bit heavier and that little bit thicker too, The phone seem to fit the hand alot better now ... Its alot less likley to slip out of the hand.
