Hi all this is my first post so go easy on me if i am out of order.

Right i have a two week old htc desire s from tmobile which i used revolutionary to s-off & Recovery all went well.

But then i decided to revert to stock just to be sure i could incase i ever had to return it for waranty using android flasher. I followed these instuctions

1. Connect phone to PC and navigate to fastboot (Vol down + Power)
2. Download and extract the compressed folder attached to this post
3. I've composed a simple .bat (called "Click This") that will open a cmd prompt
and execute the command: fastboot flash hboot engHBOOToverARX.img.
4. Restart and enter HBOOT.
5. After that I have eng boot and S-OFF and version is 6.98.2000
6. Restarted phone in fastboot loader.
7. Using Android flasher flash only hboot 98.0002
8. Shutted down phone.
9. Normaly powered on phone.

All went well, i got s-on then it booted to the custom rom but then i had to run the ruu it told me to run this one actually

RUU_Saga_TMO_UK_1.30.110.2_R_Radio_20.28b.30.0805U_38.03.02.11_M_release_180106_signed.exe

This is where it went wrong i went to make tea and i returned to it saying it could not continue i forgot the exact error as it was late

when the phone rebooted it had a different hboot and radio and now i cant get past a fastboot bootloop, with a pink security warning at the top of the boot screen.

trying to get to recovery via hboot just throws me back to hboot usb plug.

trying to put pg88img.zip on sd and hboot it checks the zip and just goes back to hboot.

i made a gold card 5 infact all ruu fail with either wrong bootloader or signiature verify error.

my boot page is

SECURITY WARNING

Not good at ALL.........

You see the problem is you have a TMO CID that is preventing you from installing any Europe RUU, to fix this a goldcard is needed, but as you said non are working. Are you 100% sure you have created the goldcard correctly and on small size memory cards? Cause with out this you are screwed until a 1.47.110.3 or greater TMO RUU is released (if it ever will be).

Thanks for your reply fox777, I have been out to get another micro sd card today (2gb sandisk) and used goldcard tool to make a new card it said gold card created succesfully but still no joy. I have just bought the new xtc clip but if it doesnt make the gold card that way either and give me s-off do you think I could put my hand in my pocket send it to HTC or T-Mobile & get it fixed?

Look forward to your reply

Hi i used the goldcardtool.exe by klutch.com i put the card into my wifes android debugging mode enabled unmounted the sd card and cleared data (formated it) pugged it into pc and then clicked goldcardtool.exe and followed the instructions as follows.

select MMCdevice mmc1 (default) nothing found nothing then i went to mmc0 and it found my 2gig card and gave me a cid of 035344535530324780046696f200a27c instructions said to reverse the numer and then replace the reversed numbers first two digits with two 00's so it became 002a002f696640087423035535443530

I then cut and pasted this number into revskills.de free gold card generator.

a download of my gold card was saved to my pc.

I then went back to goldcard.exe and clicked load goldcard.img i then searched to the saved gold card image and clicked it.

It was then showing in the goldcardtool.exe's HTC MMC box,

the patch MMC box became highlighted i clicked that and it said goldcard created or words to that effect.

i then put the card back into my phone and tried the ruu and it failed i then punched the cat, kicked the dog and said some very bad words :)

I wish i knew how to make a gold card manually, ill start searching for a solution.

Thank again for your time i really apreciate it.

Kind regards

Justin

UPDATE!!!!

hold on i have just seen another writen version of the goldcard.exe setup which doesnt tell you to reverse the number and then replace the first two digits with zero's.

this version just says get the cid from the goldcardtool.exe and copy directly into revskills.com.
Which could be why the gold card is not working. I cant test this theory till the good lady wife is home from work as i can only make the gold card on her android as mine seems to have turned usb debugging off when the ruu went pear shaped. ill let you know how it goes tonight .

What phone does your wife have? On the desire s its mmc2 not mmc0, mmc0 is the phones internal memory (I assume other phones may be similar)

Have a look here on a how to a wrote.

The manual method to get the CID via adb is "adb shell cat /sys/class/mmc_host/mmc2/mmc2:*/cid"

I advise that you install the app goldcard helper on your wife's phone, it will show clearly your mem card CID and it will reverse it for you.
