I have no problems on any of the Froyo ROMs or latest CM7. Try Froyocream or Minimal Triumph...I have all the songs on Tap Tap

Okay I'm flashing CM9 now if it does it on it I'm going to CM7 then Minimal Triumph. I hope it keeps my new song.

EDIT #2 It works fine on CM7 thats good and bad, bad because it wanted it on something different (MIUI OR CM9) good because well it works fine expect for one fc lol

I did a full wipe of my phone, last week, and reflashed MIUI 1.11.25, per the instructions in the initial thread. Since doing this, I was only able to install about 5 apps before getting the message "Package File Invalid" message in the PLAY Market. I have done the clear data/cache instructions but it only works for some apps, but not all. I started over fresh and I'm using the following:
CWM v5.0.2.6
MIUI-1.11.25-Triumph (113011-2)
wipe data/factory reset
format /system
flash ROM
reboot
Still getting the error. Luckily I had used Titanium Backup Pro to back up my apps, so those I have been able to just restore. The issue, of course, is when trying to install new apps.
Any ideas or resources I have missed would be appreciated. I will add that I've already tried to re-install the current version of the Market but I get the same package file error.

I applied the Black Ice theme (ICS looking theme) and now I have chinese characters on my lockscreen (where the date is). I rebooted the phone right after i applied the theme like it told me to. Does anyone have this problem and know how to fix it? Also, how do we turn off the theme boot animations? Thanks

im not sure what the problems youve heard of are but ive had very few problems with this phone. I have used 2.2 roms, cm7, miui, and cm9 and i must say i love each rom in its own way, each boasts its own improvements to the phone

both this (and CM7 is was built from) fixed a GPS problem I had - but then, that seemed common from the first batch of Triumphs out the gate, and may have been fixed since. That said, I would recommend that anyone shopping for the VM network wait if they can/want, since they may be due to put out another device soon from the way they trend.

I've been super curious what their going to bring to the table but for sure it will drop the price of the mt and the new one will be 300 plus I just bought a laptop for 265 these prices are crap.

I read that. This would not be a choice I make for myself, since I want a bigger screen to theme for in addition to hdpi. It'd be pretty cool if VM carried a qHD or bigger. It is listed as gsm, so its possible. The body styling does not light my fire (I adore the MT in that respect). I have not seen any rumors of late - the MT was released July '11, the OV not incredibly long before that...they're due for something.
Edit - Here's news from AF that VM might indeed carry HTC One V

I don't know if anyone has covered this before, but is there a way to get added music headset controls working on this rom? The app I have in mind is Jay's Headset Control which adds support for single and triple clicks and such. I can only seem to get a single click for play/pause and long click for next song to work...

Have not tried this rom but after several issues with cm7 I am considering it. I read the instructions on how to flash it. If I have the cwm that I can flash cm7 from will I be ok to just flash this after the factory reset?

It's a great Rom. It was the first Rom I used when I first rooted my phone, I then went to CM7 and used it for some time, then went to CM7 Reloaded. I used CM9 for some but I went back to MIUI as I have been using my camera a lot more and like it more than CM7. I would give it a go, and back up what ever your using and check it out.

Flashed this ROM after endless reboots of cm7. Enjoying it so far and at least on my phone seems more stable. I think that possibly the side range of builds for this phone might have something to do with how well various roms work. For example cm7 reloaded is trouble free on my wife's phone and has never been totally stable on mine. Anyway, Any tips on how to get the most out of miui?

Sorry for all of the questions but still getting a feel for Miui (which has much better performance over all on my phone than CM7 did!): Does anyone else have issues with the Kindle app being crazy slow and trying to force close a lot on this rom?
