I wouldn't commit myself to 3 personally.. Everytime I hear people talk about it, it's always negative. Just puts me off.
FWIW I've been with 3 for four years now and have always found them to be awesome. Had one time last October where the reception and 3g signal directly around my house died for about 4/5 days but they kept me updated the whole time it was down and knocked a tenner off my monthly bill for the inconvenience.
In terms of getting 3g/HSDPA signal it's easily the best network imo. I have friends on O2, Vodafone, Orange etc and I get signal in places where they can't get any at all. Was in Manchester a while back and my friend on O2 had no 3g signal the whole night....in a city centre ffs! The only places I've been completely without signal is some of the really rural villages in the middle of nowhere (annoyingly I work in such a place)...but 95% of the time I'm good to go.
