Bluetooth issues when streaming music

Now this has probably been discuss before but I'm asking anyway. I have a Kenwood BT-945U head unit in my car that supports bluetooth and streaming music. My issue is I would sometimes have to restart my phone because the music would not play however the phone would still function thru bluetooth. Now the music will not stream at all(phone function still works) and I get an error on my head unit that relates to the bluetooth not syncing properly. Is this a known issue? Is there some sort of work around. Any feedback would be appreciated. I've currently had to to rely on aux input to play music.

I know this may seem elementary, but have you already tried completely un-pairing and re-paring Nexus to your system? I have - on rare occasions - had to do that with my BT headset...
That was the first thing I did. Initially it sometimes worked but as soon as I shut off my car and try to reconnect when I enter the car later I still get the same issue.

Give the A2DP Volume app a try. I noticed I would have issues when trying to connect both phone and audio streaming, the audio would never connect consistently.

The A2DP Volume app will force the audio streaming to connect after the phone. Now I get a consistent connection for both.

Thanks, did'nt know they had an app for that(no pun intended)
