potentially going from droid x to razr maxx, are you happy with your purchase?

I currently have a close to unbearably slow droid x and between the keyboard force closing, the crappy camera, and the phone just being generally unresponsive and slow at times i just cant deal with it anymore, and i simply dont want to turn to apple just yet.
but ive been eyeballing the razr maxx.

how do you guys like it?
how does it feel?
does it fit well in your pockets?
does the battery last as long as they claim?

I switched from an iphone and couldn't be happier. The phone is super fast, and my battery has been amazing with moderate to heavy use. I keep a case on mine but like the way it feels in my hands without one to, I never put mine in my pocket so I don't know about that, but I think you would be really happy with it!!

I switched from the X and love the Maxx. I normally don't carry it in my pocket, but when I do it's been no issue. The size is not much different from the X. I get battery life I never got with the X, and I'm not even as careful with some of the settings (brightness, etc). On days with little use I've gone two days on a charge. But I typically just plug it in every night.

does the battery last as long as they claim? Battery life is......amazing!

I went from the DX>DX2>D3>RAZR>RAZR MAXX! That is my smartphone history. Aside from my D3(which had the moto extended battery) none but the RAZR would last me all day. I charge every night before bed and I'm good to go all day. I do however charge it while driving cause I have a smart action set so I can't tell you what my battery is at the end of the day.
Triggers= Charging(any way) + Headphones(plugged in)
Actions= Turn on GPS, Brightness 100%, Ringer 50%, Launch Pandora
This phone is by far the best phone I have ever had.

When I did go all day without charging as a test. I had 15 or 20% left and that is unplugged at 7am with heavy use most of the day and plugged back in at 11pm. That is awesome! I wasn't lying haha.

1. Love it.
2. Feels tight and moist.......oh wait, wrong forum! The width is a perfect palm fit, length is enough to capture the highlights w/o going zoom, depth is just right, not too bulky and not flimsy/ready to fall out thin, has good weight distribution.
3. When I'm at work, it's on a belt clip, after work, I slip it into my front jeans pocket and you forget it's there due to light weight and thin profile.
4. Yes, x 1000X, 48hours without blinking an eye and some medium use or uses 20%/day with light use.

That's exactly how mine is (I'm on my 3rd Droid X)...Here in Houston there are no Razr Maxx's to be had...on backorder but I will get one once they're in...

Not sure I understand your concern. My wife has the Droid X and to me, they're almost identical in size. The Maxx has a slightly larger face, but it's thinner than the X.

Does the battery last as long as they claim? No. It's LONGER!!!
