Root Ringtone issues

I'm rooted running CWM and newest ver of connect i.e. zv9 (or whatev.)
I've noticed that while I've assigned a phone ringtone from my SD via sound option in settings and personal ringtones to contacts via Go Contacts that they do not like to stay that way. Over time my phone has multiple times reset my ringtones back to default. Anyone else having this issue or similar ringtone issues? I'd like to know what could be happening and how to fix this issue. Any help would be useful thanks..

I had this problem before. My way of fixing it was factory reset xD it's not so helpful, but this manage to work for me

Will doing that undo the root or cwm?

Same thing happens to me it will always reset or even now the lastest one itll put my notification as my ringtone doing factory reset

Could be that they're on the sdcard. I know it sounds funny but the sdcard isn't always mounted, therefore falling back to an internal tone. Shouldn't happen too often tho. Really depends on circumstance

Trying to do a factory reset was a bad move on my part. I'm currently stuck in a cwm loop unable to access my phone...

For me factory reset works and did not remove my root. I was still rooted after factory resetting my phone.

Well I'm glad it worked for you, I am currently working on trying to un-(soft)brick my device from attempting a hard reset

That is strange, before I made the post even 5 minute ago just to see that I wasn't giving wrong information out I just did another reset my phone was ZV9 in download mode its seen as ZV8 I dont know why its not working for others I already restored it numerous time. This has nothing to do with it but just wanna throw out still I am using the spectrum drivers not the drivers from the LG updater tool
