Overheating= Replacement

Hey guys its already been said just to confirm again if your phone is overheating even slightly just for little things, you should get it replaced I didn't want to believe it was a defect rather its the phone it self but looks like after replacing the phone, the problem was solved phone is cool and not warmed up crazy like my earlier one.

Also guys the other phone had constant 4g dropping issues too, it was also because of the defect once again I thought it was due to the MetroPCs network, but was wrong

What was your temps on the one that was over heating cuz mine is like getting up to 115-118 while charging and 105-107 while not

It is usually $10 and pretty much cannot be avoided.

Oh its fine, mine with the new phone after half a hour of use its at 99-100f while charging my old connect used to get extremely hot. New one the only thing that gets hot is the battery it self not the phone and I'm idle it almost or should I say with the new replacemt doesn't get. Old one would get hot like crazy for no reason even with 4g bg data off etc. So if your having similar issue definitely get a replacement. If you got ur phone the first week or two it was released like me u mostly recieved that issue so please get a replacement right way. Another way you can check is run GPS and 4g and just put a random directions and use the navigation app and wait few minute (5) if it gets crazy hot then its definitely a defect. The new one barely gets hot so please guys get your replacement
Its very dangerous to carry around a device that hot. Also I will play a graphic intensive game and see how hot it gets normal games ran fine with no overheating. I also want to fry the battery replaced too

Also guys this was answered, but for phone replacement you won't need to show receipt. Don't need insurance. The requirements are phone are not to be rooted the cosmetic condition are as same as or almost brand new. First month is free, after first month ten dollar is charged. And you will have to go to go to corporate store for replacement. Depending on if their strict (a**holes) or simply nice or doing their job good then you will get a replacement right away or without hassles.

Well I just found one of those. I took mine in and explained about how hot it gets. I showed her the screenshot of it at 48C and all she said was, "Well, how did you do that?" I had to show her the app before she would believe it. She then wanted to do a hard reset and have me come back in a few days. I said no. She finally agreed to order one for me. She still wanted to do a hard reset after that! I again said no! So, while I had to deal with more frustration than I should have, I get a replacement next week.

I also found something interesting. At the 48C my phone has gone to, it only takes 10 minutes to cause a deep tissue 2nd degree to 3rd degree burn. The typical pain reaction happens at 42C.

yah hell with them they better give a replacement demand one guys f*ck them and LG for all this defects, i wish this phone was manufactured by Samsung instead of Loser Gays (LG)

Mine got better after a few full charges then discharges, but recently went to the point of shutting down after using gps for about 1/2 hour. I'm thinking that may be a good test. I had sattelite layer enabled. I'm not sure if it will overheat while stationary, but it's worth a try. That being said because 4G draws more power and as you move it downloads more map tiles, but when you're not moving it will stop downloading after a bit.

dulal18 do me a favor and please try to leave your gps on for about a 1/2 hour like I did to see if the replacement really did fix the issue. Maybe on the way to work and back or something. Mine was so hot that had it not been stuck to my window and was in my hand instead it would have been painful quickly.

I've already called LG and had them create a sort of ticket that goes to the developers to investigate, but if it's not fixed I definitely want more people to bring it to their attention so they can really hear some noise and do something.

Okay i have tried that so far and it was cooler and way better then the previous connect, but sure I will be glad to do this test again and make sure, matter of fact I will try it tomorrow. Honestly I don't think those LG a**hole will do anything about it their saying those craps to stall us, but I hope we succeed thanks a lot kanaida
