Go from the Inc2 to the Rezound?

ok, everyone. I would like your opinions.

I currently have an Incredible 2 and I'm looking to upgrade to a 4G phone. I love this phone but I think it's time to enter the 4G world. I'm looking for a phone that will give me similar features and enjoyment my Inc2 gives me but with 4G. So I'm considering the Rezound.

So what does everyone think? Would this be a good move?

I know there are leaked pictures of an Incredible 4G/3 out. But without any confirmed ETAs on this phone I don't think I want to wait for this.

So what does everyone think?

Thanks

Current rumors are the inc4G at the end of April. I personally feel it might be worth waiting until at least mid-April, so if it comes out you can still return and if not you'll still be happy. The only thing keeping me from the rezound is the s4 in the inc4G.
Also, before jumping into 4G, make sure your area is covered, if not just wait until it is and even better phones will be around.

What are the specs of the Inc 4G?

Rumored to be Verizon's version of the One S. 4.3 in SAMOLED qHD screen, 1.2ghz S4 processor, sense and android 4.0.

The rezound has a better resolution SLCD screen, it will have ICS, but only sense 3.6. The cameras will be similar, but the Inc4G will probably have HTC's new software.

For me the argument boils down to HD SLCD vs qHD SAMOLED and buy now or wait for the S4 SOC.

Of course this is based on rumors, that's why I'm waiting to see before I upgrade my Inc.

If you can wait, wait. There are better phones coming out; HTC One X, Galaxy S3, and some other secret HTC phone.

There is always a better phone coming out. I am still trying to figure out why I would even need 4G. I guess it just depends on what you do with your phone, but I have the original Inc and I have yet to want to do something with this phone that I have not been able to do. I am never waiting on it, it fits in my pocket just right, it lasts 2+ days on a charge... etc.. But then again, I am not a game player, nor do I watch movies all the time. But I can and have watched movies. I have been able to upgrade since last July and have yet to see a phone that wows me. I have already ran ICS on my Inc for a while also, wasn't really impressed with stock ICS either. Phones are such a personal preference. I kind of just read some of these forums now just to see what kind of bugs are in the new phones. I won't go into a new 2 year contract with big red anymore just to upgrade because I can. Oh and I did try the Rezound for a week and took it back and went back to my Inc. Wasn't impressed.

Battery life is worse...but that was to be expected with the 4g & the fact I'm on it a lot with it still being "new" to me. As far as reception I'd say at least the same if not better. But things should get better with the expected release of ICS this coming week.

I'm in an area that currently doesn't have 4G, ao for me the battery life is about the same. You might think it'd be better, but just like with the Thunderbolt, even though it's not much of a difference in screen size, it does suck down the battery.

As far as reception I would say it's better. The reason being a store that I have never been able to hold a call in prior to getting the Rezound I am able to take the call without having to go outside. Granted miving around in the store can cause issues, but it's a hardware store with a lot of metal so that can probably be expected in a town with low signal to begin with.

That's assuming Verizon gets any of those anytime soon. Remember they passed on the S2 in favor of the Nexus. So far the Inc 4G and the Droid Fighter look to be the top of the line for the near future. Verizon is the only US carrier that hasn't announced going with one of HTC's One series. Makes me wonder if they're gonna go back to being 6 months to a year behind the other carriers in terms of devices.

Because I know Verizon is notorious for lagging the other carriers in getting new devices is what is making it hard for me to decide if I should wait.

Seeing the post on Phandroid about the Incredible 4G entering Verizon's MAP process has me thinking I should wait.

I have basically the same issues. I have an incredible and like it. Now with 49 dollar rezound and the incredible 4g coming out I have questions. Those who own the rezound-do I buy for 49 dollars or wait for the incredible 4g. Also, when the Incredible 4g is out, verizon will probably still have the rezound nice and cheap. Wait or jump on the 49 dollar deal? opinions?

Today is the deadline for the rezound upgrade. Have loved the the htc droid inc and for two years, ready to upgrade. For $49?? Sounds too good. Droid Inc 3 4G? Sounds good too and don't want regret. Ugh!

I just got this phone. I came from an aging X. I think it's a nice device, but shame on them for the battery life. It's a disgrace. I just burned through 60% in 5 hours in my office. I did buy an extra battery and I'm typically hooked up to juice wherever I go (forgot my charger today) but really, they need much much better power management inside their devices going forward and MUCH larger batteries.

I did unlock the bootloader, root and rom it - running a leaked version of ICS on the leaked RUU - maybe that has something to do with the terrible battery life....maybe it doesn't. Either way, it's something to consider.

You can't beat the price though in all honesty and the headphones they came with are very nice.

I was in same situation as you but couldn't pass on this rezound deal. It came out free with my ne2. Maybe I'll be jealous of the Inc 4G when it comes out but you can't beat free.
