Ok so far im crazy lovin this rom altho i just flashed it
it has 8 home screens and the rosie is a 5 button

Over all everything seems to work There is a lot of eye candy and it is a large rom but moves about 100meg to the ext. The 2 things I realy like is the 8 home screens and the 5 button rosie. It is a little laggy but has the stock kernel. I will play more with this over the weekend for sure when I have more time.

Has anybody else tried this out? I was trying to read about it on XDA but couldn't get past all the bitching and fighting on the thread..wtf!!!

I ran it for a couple of weeks and started having issues.

I tried to get help in tha thread but will all the disagreements my questions got lost.

It was awesome when it worked but the isues kept poping up so I just went on to something else.

Also I was getting the best battery life out of ths rom. I have the extended one, but I was getting over 24hrs on a single charge.

Yeah. I'm at a job that if something comes up and I don't respond or act within a 10 minute time frame the problem gets passed to my boss.

I just needed something more reliable.

This ROM is faster than Sense 1.0, it has SO MUCH ROOM!! You have 6 different kernel choices, the choice of adding ODJDubHD apps. You can swap boot animations. I am testing on multi devices, that's the only hold up. I am making sure you aren't the guinea pigs. You guys are gonna FREAK OUT!!!!!!!!!

The new version has problems. No wifi or 4g. Plus it made the evo run slow.

My Wi-Fi and 4G work fine. And my speed isn't an issue at all. Sounds like something happened during installation.

how does this ROM compare to MikG? It looks really promising and nice..just curious how the 2 compare. I want to put this into my wifes phone..so it has to be very stable and perform..otherwise she will get annoyed and make me put "that sprint crap" back on.

IMHO, Express doesn't hold a candle to MikG when comparing stability, completeness, and speed.

There are quite a few visual issues with the ROM - too many for me to ignore. And I really dislike the custom Notification icons included. It's also a bit heavy (sluggish) because it's full Sense 3.0, with a Tablet Rosie overlaid. It's mostly just too much for our *ancient* device to handle.

MikG is MikOptimized for us, and it works well (though I do occasionally have issues with 4G not turning on). If it's any indication of my preference, my wife's EVO runs MikG

I have to strongly disagree,i run express as a daily and i know from experience and yes ive used mikG's roms since the froyo days,that express runs circles around mikmiks rom,hes put numerous amounts of time and effort into creating a great,stable and customized rom for everyday use and i have yet to have any problems with it,im not saying that mik's roms suck,because they dont,mik's a great dev and always will be,but hes the past and outerdepth is the future.

MIk is an amazing dev, but I don't think the EVO gets the focus from him that it used to. I don't blame him, we're an old device, but I'm happy to see any developers throw their hats into the ring and give it a go

sorry to get back so late.

i was missing texts.

then another issue came up. when the phone would ring and i would answer i could still hear the phone ringing in the background. had to keep wiping and battery pulls.

this was all on the pre version 2.0. so i will follow this and xda forum and see if anyone else have issues with the 2.0 before installing.

thanks guys..didnt want to spark debate. I know her evo is running just fine on MikG, and I cannot risk express acting up, or else I lose the tweaking with her phone privilidge, plus she's with my kids all day..so she needs to be reachable. guess we will stick w/ mikg until a stable ICS comes out..but we will prob. be upgraded by that time anyway....I may try express though!
