I have a Iphone 4s.....actually does most everything I want accept have SWYPE. I have jailbroken before and the jailbreak Swipe sucks.

I really like Android and am not a 100% all the way Apple fanboy by any means. Both have pluses and minuses.

Like the Motorola Razr Maxx but the camera isn't as good as the iPhone 4s and the screen isn't high definition. Megapixel isn't the issue....the iPhone 4s light sensor is what makes it amazing.

So what phone would have the same battery life and everything as the Maxx...but have a camera as good as the iPhone 4s and screen in high def??

Thanks!

HTC is talking up their new camera's in the One S and One X.

Ya....but HTC aint the best at battery life. Sense is a pain too. Other than that it looks good. Hope the fighter has a better camera and screen

Sense 4 (and Sense 3.6) are large improvements over Sense 3. Sense 3.6+ uses a lot of the UI elements that exists in ICS already, and changes little in the way it works.

Sony makes digital cameras/DSLR, so you're sure they know what they're doing.

Haven't seen exactly the iPhone4S camera, but based on the iPhone 4 and what they talked about in the updates (they didn't change much), the 4S camera is still designed to produce pictures that looks awesome on the iPhone screen at the cost of detail. Colors seem brighter and punchier and more brilliant, but you lose detail.

Samsung and HTC and Sony, from what I've seen, retain detail, but their pictures look more subdued and using the words of reviewers, retain natural colors. Of course though the pictures don't pop out and awe anyone.

you are naming motorola alot in your posts OP,
i must say, Motorola is has the same build quality as apple by far.

Moto is just top of the line in terms of build quality and how sturdy the phone actually is.

HTC has only recently begun to follow this approach but i do not believe they are there yet.

Apple helped start it all, its a great OS, and great phone with hardly any issues, but there are issues

Androids biggest flaw is the fact that once google has upgraded the os they give it to the carriers so they can bloat it up(on some phones) and then the carrier decides if its ready to go out, and there is the fragmentation issue with android

Apple on the other hand is a closed system and updates come directly from them once they are approved and ready for distribution.

if i were you, i wouldnt listen to us as we are not you, and its your money, i would suggest you play with both phones for as long as you can in the store, and determine which one you wish to have. its your money and choice, not ours. whatever phone you do get whether it be android or apple you will be happy, if its android, come back here and post in the correct forum, and you will see all sorts of help from other users

My wife has the 4s and the camera is amazing to say the least. Its rapid and takes amazing photos. My Droid X is more like my old Polaroid One-Step in comparison LOL.

Still, I like the Android ecosystem over Apple's........and I own several Apple products. And the iPhone is way too small in my opinion.

Just sayin'

Naming Motorola a lot in my posts? No. I am interested in Motorola. I never post on here also. Probably 2 times in last year.

The iPhone 4s has an extra lens in it over the original iPhone 4. This tied with the stellar light sensor makes it take amazing photos. I've tried other android cameras and nothing compares. This is the ONLY thing keeping me with apple. Android has far exceeded apple and apple now just seems to copy instead of innovate. Sad. Siri blows too. So inconsistent.

You clearly know what makes a camera good, as you've stated in this post and your OP. Apple used multicoated glass, which is present on all high-end optics from binoculars, telescopes, and SL2 lenses. This coating typically doubles or triples the cost of the glass, but it lets a LOT more light through and reduces glare. If you've ever heard of museum-quality glass for picture frames... those are coated.

You can identify coated glass because they tend to have a strong color to them when viewed at an angle. Most coatings look green, but you'll also see blues, and to a lesser extent orange.

AFAIK, no Android phone uses coated lenses for their cameras, unfortunately. HTC seems to be striving for better camera performance ever since the Amaze, spending more effort on hardware/firmware post-processing. But I do hope that manufacturers start using higher quality sensor chips, rather than just touting megapixels.

The Razr Maxx HD looks pretty cool. Not sure if it has the coated lens like apple, but all the other specs look great. I just wish the damn Iphone5 would have swype and allow for widgets and customization. Apple could have slayed the competition even if they had just copied all the thing Android peeps like about Android. Sure they would have taken flak for it like the notification bar they copied, but it would have slayed every other phone!
