Cases! I know, I know...

Are there any cases out there like the Commuter? I'm talking full coverage with polycarbonate on the outside. Port and button covers. Slim and sleek.

This guy is a little bulky but I really dig it. Best case Ive ever had the pleasure of owning.

Copied from cases thread...

Ive been rocking the Kraken by Trident case and its a beast. I wanted something like an Otterbox but with a kickstand. And that it is! It is a simple silicone case wrapped in a polycarb shell. But you can knock it down to the simple silicone case and it works fantastically. The other BIG plus is the AMS system, which essentially means you can swap out the kickstand for some pretty nifty accessories like a car mount, bike mount, tripod mount and seatbelt holster. I got mine for 37 bucks on Ebay and New Egg is offering them for 32. They are DEFIANTLY worth the price. Check em out!

The Commuter is a very thin case its the same thickness as my Cruzerlite cases. I just want more option and the Seidio Active and Kraken are more like the Defender. I really like the Case-mate Tough Case but it doesn't cover the ports.

I have the Active (what I run on the phone because of the clip), the commuter, and the defender.....the active is very close to the same size as the commuter....a lot smaller than the defender.

So I just got my Kraken in and I must say this case is AMAZING. The case does have a few flaws but I can look past them when I consider all the good. Kraken AMS is basically two cases in one, it has an inner silicone case which can be used as is and it has a polycarbonate shell which makes it a Otterbox Commuter on roids. The polycarbonate shell has a built in kickstand which can be swapped for things like a dash mount and a belt clip rather than holster, which, cuts back on significant bulk. It also comes with an included screen protector which seems better than the Zagg I currently have installed. The ports and buttons are all covered very nicely and the buttons provide very nice tactile feedback. I love having the polycarbonate on the outside of the silicone and do not know what Otterbox was thinking when they put it inside the Defender. This case is a BEAST and would have no problem throwing it at the wall to prove its worth.

What I do not like about it is inside the shell there are ridges, which, if they were not there, would reduce the thickness by about a mm. The silicone should also come with reinforced corners so that while the shell is on it, it would all be flush like the Commuter. On the bottom of the case, the notification LED is partially blocked. I cannot stand this as I am very OCD about things like this. I want to send it back on this alone, but I will hold on to it in hopes they will correct it in the future.

For those looking for a great case look no further this thing is what ever other manufacturer should be trying to improve on. I spent $50 on my defender, $30 on my Commuter, the Kraken cost me $30 and trumps them both. I will never buy Otterbox or any other case again. Trident will get my money every time.

Sorry for sentence structure. You can use my blood for sacrament.
