I was nervous about bricking my phone, so I didn't attempt to root my phone until last Saturday. Now, like many others, I wonder why I didn't do it earlier. I chose LiquidSmooth as my first ROM, and it may very well be my last because I'm liking it so much. Still need to check out some other kernels and radios, but the ROM itself is working very nicely. Like another poster said, I did have an issue with the Apex Launcher crashing upon booting the phone, but that was version 1.0.4. I got an update this week to 1.0.5 that seems to have cleared the issue for me.

Used AOKP almost exclusively for a couple months. Tried Axiom and am now on Liquids. Honestly, I only switched because I was tired of the stupid boot ani on AOKP!
Really love all the tweaks Liquid has added in in addition to AOKP. Glad it's not overly themed like his ROMs for the Droid were. Looking forward for AOKP to add in the option of fully customizing the softkeys (ability to put apps and other shortcuts there), unless they haven't already.

Same here. Upgraded to SGN on Wednesday and my first rom (Liquid) had Apex crashing on every boot. That got old fast. The update fixed it here too. I used Apex on my HP Touchpad w/o issue so assumed it was the rom. :D

It is so weird that there is an outcry of bugs for build 30, at least for me. I guess this why we say ymmv. Other than the Calender Bug, I haven't had issues with AOKP. What bugs did you run into y'all in b30?

I am back to using the full screen mod with a working LMT Launcher. Such a great device. Throw in the latest LeanKernel with LeanTweaks and I have a winner here. Best phone/ROM ever!:D

I'm with VS

B.A.M.F all the way. obviously him and I are the only two that voted for it so far lol.

i've tried two other roms and within a day i'm back on B.A.M.F

there is a reason Team BAMF took so long to release Paradigm 1.1....because it works. So i can't wait till their next official release.

Wow really?

I know that you and I both liked Redemption rom. How does this rom compare to that?

Thanks man.

I decided to try AOKP build 30 so wiped caches and formatted data, flashed aokp/gapps and sat at the Google screen for 10 minutes. Restored my backup and didn't find much on the subject so tried it again, this time formatting system first and with build 28 and it worked. This is my first aokp rom and I like it too.

I also changed my vote, but from liquid to aokp. :D

It sounds like you guy prefer lean kernel 2.8 so I flashed that with leankernel tweaks and using preset UV settings (hesitant to try aggressive).

I'm using Liquid 1.3b now which is even faster than the 1.25. Hoping for a release this week but it's a beta and there are still one or 2 bugs. For me, however, it's the size of the rom that is important. All of the Liquid builds are under 100mb and no further gapps needed. I keep my kernel updated with the franco app whether it's Franco or Imo. Right now on the latest 130 nightly. Most of the aokp options are there, I believe Roman and Liquid collaborate to some degree.

So many great choices. This is a fun phone and quick as lightning.

I'm trying to decide between liquid and bamf as my first ROM.
So far with all the reading I've done "My brown eyes hurt", (for all of you old taxi fans), bamf is winning.
