INCREDIBLE 4G coming soon?

If April 26th it will be rocking. If August 26 I think It will have been left behind by then. If August I'm not interested.

Agree unless they are going to place it free on contract if it comes out in Aug they might as well just scrap it like they should have done with the bionic. I think April sounds more like it and Inc4g just had a typo when he said aug

2 days seems a bit much, but after the last update, my battery life went to 15-16 hrs with wifi on. You want bad battery life, get an LG Revolution with its 4-5hr on LTE. Now that's bad!

2 days, 48 hours would be a stretch. I get 36-40 hrs (essentially 2 days) of normal use on my original Incredible. I have root and rom though. cyanogenmod7 with whatever kernal they pack with it. The cyanogenmod team does fantastic work creating stable usable roms. No Sense though, and other than the clock and weather widget that I'm sure I could find if I looked hard enough, I don't miss it. In fact, I've been on battery for 19.5 hours right now and I'm on 57%. Probably about an hour of total talk time, a couple dozen text messages, download, installed and ran Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball App, checked my e-mail and read my e-mail 3 times. A few webpages briefly. I mean, pretty normal use. Not sitting on it playing a game for an hour and a half straight, or browsing the web for 2 hours straight, that's extreme use.

Hopefully, the new S4 processor with Cyanogenmod9 can deliver this same kind of performance with LTE. Or at least that's what I've been hoping for and IMHO this is the only phone that has a reasonable chance at doing so without having a brick for a battery (I'm looking at you RZR MAXX). I feel bad for the early adopters of the Thunderbolt and Revolution. Those phones were cool but 4g wasn't widely available when they came out and those phones were flawed from the get go.

2 days out of the inc? What are you doing because the inc had some of the worst battery life of any phone ive owned( minus the thunderbolt of course lol)

Well I am by no means a power user of my phone for one. I am on wifi 95% of the time for 2... What I do... Not much... sit at work and stream Pandora, check my e-mails as they come in, respond if necessary, text here\there, surf the web a little bit. But I am a developer at work, so I am on my PC all day, and at home I am normally on my netbook if on the internet, not my phone. So ya, it will last up to two days. Sometimes I wonder why I even have a smart phone, but I like to look something up when out and about if I need to, and I use the Google Nav quite a bit. When I am up in Northen WI on my land I get a crappy signal, so it only last a day because I it's searching for a signal a lot, but I have never ever needed a second battery or had to charge my phone throughout the day. When I use Google Nav in the car or on my bike, the phone is on the charger. I also use the 1900mah battery.

Nice on the battery life! Wish I could say the same, but I'm happy with 15-16 hrs.

I was one of those fools with a Revolution, so thanks for the sympathy! Luckily I still had my Dinc to fall back on!;)

Perhaps Verizon will do the same with the Incredible 4G since people are saying that the Incredible 4G is the Verizon version of the HTC One X. Price is also $199, which I like.

While these phones aren't necessarily groundbreaking, would this kind of force Verizon's hand to keep folks from switching providers? Anyone ever notice a pattern like that?

that says AT&T is putting up the HTC One X up for preorders on April 22nd. Perhaps Verizon will do the same with the Incredible 4G since people are saying that the Incredible 4G is the Verizon version of the HTC One X. Price is also $199, which I like.

No, it's my understanding Incredible 4G is rumored to be a Verizon version of the HTC One S. I think the One X is a more high end phone than the One S.

So, that begs the question: What is VZ going to come out with to match the One X? Inquiring minds want to know!

That lg phone that was talked about a few weeks back and probably the moto fighter or whatever it is going to be called since verizon is so in bed with moto and especially the droid name attached to pretty much every moto device.

To be frank, that's lame. I want an HTC version. I'm a fanboy for HTC :)

I hope that info in that link is right. If so, I finally got my next phone... This is the part that sells me..

"The DINC 4G will feature compatibility with Verizon’s 4G LTE network, 4-inch qHD AMOLED display, and Sense 4.0 running on Android 4.0.3.":D

I think they are just quoting what they saw on Android Police. No one knows what screen technology will be used on the phone yet. Hoping for SAMOLED or SLCD2.

Ok so same internals and it is looking like same screen, same sense. But you're right it's not an htc one....:rolleyes::rolleyes:

It is a quite heavily modified variant. He has a point. The exterior looks nothing like the One S, and the screen is not the same. 4.3" vs 4". Maybe even different screen technologies. The internals are relatively the same, but the Dinc4G is clocked lower and has LTE, NFC, a MicroSD slot, and a removable battery.
