Hi

I activated Wifi Direct on my nexus and thats about it, just one check mark. There were no settings or password, etc. I was wondering if its possible to use Wifi Direct on my nexus to transfer files with my laptop which just has regular wifi capabilities. I read somewhere that only one device needs to be Wifi Direct enabled. Can someone enlighten me on this.

Thank you

Wifo direct is another form or bluetooth file sharing tech. Currently its only avalible on sansung devices so you need another nexus or sg2 or note to be able to achieve.

Once you dive into setting an turn wifi direct on both devices. The way to share files it would be the same as posting anything through the sharig options. So you should se a 'wifi' option after you fi the file you want to share. (i have been able to do just songs and pictures for now. When i tried video i had problems. Its quite fast and easy onve you figure it out.

Only other thing is that you have to be off of wifi conection, cause it establish its own between devices.

When you say that you have to be off of WiFi, does that mean that I have to ask my phone to forget my WiFi connection when I try to connect to my TV with WiFi Direct?
Because I can connect to the TV with WiFi Direct no problem - but it seems to revert to my WiFi router immediately, since the option to share via WiFi is not in my gallery. If this is the case, that's really a pain in the tail:mad:

If that's not the case, then I am just a moron, happily waiting to be enlightened!
