If it was cheaper than it probably would have. No one is going to buy this phone at 300$, maybe when the price drops. Lets hope that page was incorrect and as someone said earlier, just using the Razr Maxx template.

Yes,I agree with this template thing, when they said they clicked buy now on it it took them to the razr maxx page, is not the razr maxx 299 currently? They were only using the template to mock it up...

299 is the wrong price for this...

Here's the black stealth design I have been waiting for!

Now that looks clean!!!:D:D:D

The price just has to be wrong, I can't see a good reason at all for the phone being $299. If Verizon was smart they would announce the phone soon with the actual price since every where I have looked I see people complaining about the phone being over priced. Either way I look at it I plan on getting this phone, even if I have to order it from elsewhere like amazon to get a better price

Maybe Verizon is just putting something out there to see what the reaction is on the price to know where to price this phone to get it to sell? Just saying...

That's kind of where i'm at. My dinc1 is holding up fine, it has some minor annoyances, but its good enough that i feel like i can wait until a device reaches 'gotta have it' status before i fork out $300.

Same here, even running an ICS rom as a daily driver for the past three weeks.

Here's hoping the price is inaccurate. Just pulled out my receipt for my Original Incredible which was $199.99 + tax and from what I can find on searches the Incredible 2 was as well.

Same boat here, but I will go check it out when it comes out. If I like it then I may pick it up. No way for $300 on contract though... Forget it!!

+1
If the reviews are good, I may get it off contract. My upgrade isn't until Jan '13 and my orig Dinc is starting to show its age. That being said, it will certainly last me until Jan if the Dinc 4G doesn't pan out.

Btw, I too believe that a 4" screen is the sweet spot. 4.3 is just too big for a phone IMHO.

11 pages later and I'm still sitting here hitting F5 over and over again all day long waiting for this phone to get released. I had the original Dinc and stupidly went to the Razr. The Razr is cool (thinness), but otherwise, is too big for me. I can't even unlock the thing one-handed. I'm excited for a 4" screen. I think that'll be perfect for me. Granted, I can't make a decision until I have it in my hand and then maybe, just maybe, I can get rid of my Moto (amazingly, I really miss Sense).

Looks like Verizon's front page is showing the Motorola Droid RaZR for $99 as a mother's day special. Presumably, it will be that price until Mother's Day? I am tempted, now that we know the Inc4G's specs, to get the RaZR. I really wanted the 4.3 screen and $199 price. My new every two is not up until June 9th, so I've got some time to make a decision. Waiting may cost me in the end, though.

I really wanted the 4.3 screen

There are lots of options for a 4.3 screen. There will be many more.

There are very few with smaller screens that don't also have crippled hardware (which kinda makes sense, because there's less room to put stuff behind a smaller screen.

I'm glad those of use who want a 4" at least get an option now.

I'm wondering about the lack of mention of NFC - seems it coulda or shoulda been in the ad if the phone was going to have it. I seem to remember the previous inclusion of was based on a screenshot that listed it as an option. That gives me hope that it'll be real, and just not yet listed in the ad copy.

That ad was very vague and lacked a ton of information. NFC would he a cool feature to have, everything that I've read about it is intriguing

I actually had another phone on order and as soon as I saw the droiddoes page this morning I promptly cancelled it. I want this phone! I don't think it'll be $299, because that button brought you to the Razr Maxx page. I've been bitching lately that all the nicer phones tend to be 4.3" or above. I remember when 4.3" seemed huge, but now many people proclaim it to be the sweet spot. 4.7" is the new 4.3". So, I am super excited for a phone with specs like this having a 4" screen. I've been checking online all day hoping we'd hear something but I assume it's coming (an announcement at least) in the next few days... I hope.
