Yup and boy did it feel good, sadly the good time lasted o.ly a short while. I knocked my phone off of my coffee table while celebrating one of the many goals and cracked my digitizer. 50 bucks for the parts or 80 to have someone else do it. I tell ya if I didnt have bad luck I'd have no luck at all

Dang Goat.. sorry to hear that. Could always be worse. My son tossed his brand new Iphone in the toilet.... not that I blame him really. :rolleyes:

That sucks, but look on the bright side, while your phone is down, that gives you more time to cuddle with your new puppy.:p

I would have taken a drop in the toilet. That I can fix myself at work, but the damn screen is going to take at least a week.

Haha they always seem to know... You guys will be friends in no time.:) I've actually known some cool chihuahuas. The thing about those dogs is you have to socialize them around a lot of people and they're usually ok. Otherwise they get overprotective and that's when they become those yappy ankle biters everyone hates. (apparently they don't realize they are rat-sized lol)

I'm ready for a puppy update. I'm a dog lover big time. At the present time I have a pair of Shih Tzus. The female is tiny and a real lover.. quite bright. The male is the largest one of the breed I've ever seen and as dumb as a rock. They are still fun.
I wouldn't be without a dog or two... but I'm one that has always needed unconditional friends. :)

SHe's actually not that yippy, and yeah she's moving up the friendship scale for me. I still refuse to clean up after her though... ;)

Thanks, really sucks but at least it's only the digitizer. I can still use the phone for the time being.

I want to fix it myself but at the same time it's a new phone and I'd feel like a real jack-ass if I messed it up. At least with someone else repairing it I can always go back to them if there is something messed up

There is nothing wrong with having someone else do the work, especially if they will warranty their work. I have been doing this kind of work (professionally) for over 25 years and as a hobby for at least 10 more. There are few cases where I have greater confidence in someone else's work over mine

We'll heartily welcome you to the Dark Side if/when you make the jump;). The process reminds me of when I first rooted my Incredible. At first glance, it seems daunting - you are shorting something to ground (twice) and you got to get the timing right, but should be safe enough provided you fully read and understand the instructions and heed the warnings. Note, I have not yet done this - haven't had the time to devote to it, but will likely pull the trigger tonight after work.

So what I thought was a cracked digitzer on my rezound is now showing as a crack in the LCD, it's now completely dead on the left portion of my screen. *sigh* now I have to give Assurion $99 to get me a refurb (hopefully it's a new phone) my $50 dollar Rezound is now going to cost me $150.... and I'm going to pick up a no-show case to prevent things like this from happening.....
