I was a rooted Tbolter till yesterday, I am now a Nexus Noob. My phone seems to work so I was going to unlock bootloader and root it and all that stuff. I cannot get my phone to be recognized in adb. It seems like when I turn on usb debugging, I can't do anything from the computer to my phone. If I turn debugging off, my computer will see the phone so that I can move files on and off of it, but that is it. After rooting my bolt the 'ol manual way(as my first time rooting), I was excited to use the one-click toolbox method on the Nexus, but can't seem to get past the first step. I am using Windows XP. Any help would be appreciated. :dontknow:

Edit: starting to get very frustrated now.

If the drivers are the problem, I read somewhere on the forum here that downloading PDANet is the easiest way to get the correct drivers. Apparently, there is a free version of the app, andit automatically downloads the drivers needed to function with your computer. After, you can delete the app with no problem and your drivers will remain.

I read this only a week or so ago...I had to fight through finding the drivers back in December, but I honestly don't remember how I ended up with the right ones in the end.

Yeah, I downloaded pdanet, ran it, then eventually it uninstalls itself because it says I have no device plugged in or it says I need to the run the wizard on the drivers first. I cannot get through the pdanet install process. I have also tried installing the drivers using Galaxy Nexus toolkit v6.0. It says it installs the drivers successfully. Under device manager if have a bunch of drivers under Android Phone. All of them have yellow exclamation points. They say Samsung Galaxy Nexus ADB interface(4 of those), Samsung Galaxy Nexus Bootloader Interface(2 of those), and Samsung Generic ADB Interface. I cannot update any of them because when I try, I get a message saying either update could not complete because device cannot start or it says it can't find a better version than I already have installed.
