I downloaded go launcher to be able to use the hide app feature and create folders in the app drawer and whilst I prefer the look of the d4 launcher, its a good compromise to have the aforementioned functionality and its easy to switch between the two launchers. To my horror last night my phone began to freeze when attempting to exit some game apps. This happened on both launchers.

I was about to go back to checkrom but decided to persevere a bit longer. I think the problem was with pressing the home key. After pressing the home key I was being asked to select which launcher I wanted to use to perform the action. At that point I hadn't selected a default. I've since selected a default and haven't had any more freezes so hopefully this has sorted the problem.

Has any one had similar experiences or does this sound logical to you?

Really enjoying the D4Rom now so will be gutted if I have to revert back to GB.

I reverted from v8 back to my nandroid of v7 for now as I was having some problems, most notably that my wife wouldn't work at all. These issues could have been due to not doing a full wipe before upgrading but I just didn't have time to go through all that yesterday. I've seen a few reports of various issues with v8 so I think I'll just wait for 8.1 now.

The ability to adjust the sensisitivity of the vibrate on touch feedback seems to be gone. I used to have it quite low so now feels like I'm getting an electric shock everytime I press the back soft key! Anyone found where this is on ICS?

System settings/Advanced/Screen

Tried this but it is for adjusting the touch screen sensitivity. Its the strength of the vibration when you touch the keys I'm trying to reduce. Can't find it anymore, anyone know where it is?

Keep in mind the buttons at the bottom are completely customizable, just replace the phone icon with the phone icon in your app locker for example to get the ICS/Theme buttons down there :)

I have had a few oddities occur when having 2 or more launchers installed, mainly in GB though. Lock ups/freezes etc, but I just used home switcher to set default then remove the others and issue is solved whenever its occurred.

I'm liking D4 rom, but am i the only one who doesn't see much difference between AKOP and Sammy roms? Other than the lack of bloat and that options are all over the place... kind of confused as to the difference tbh :p

I have to say I'm really starting to like these CM9 AOSP and AOKP ROMs.
D4 in particular. Currently on D4 v9 and I'm very much liking it.
Well done D4rKn3sSyS. Excellent work!

I hear Hydrog3n will be releasing an update soon, so I will probably have a little nose at that one, but its going to take something pretty good to get me off D4 as my daily runner.

I cannot get an audible notification on receipt of a text message. The icon updates and the message scrolls in the notification bar, but no audible alert no matter how i try.
Just re-wiped everything and reinstalled, but this time with the march build of google apps so see how this goes. Not had an sms yet as i got no friends and my missus doesn't speak to me.

Edit. This seemed to have done the trick.

Does anyone know if you can install the FM Radio APK as an app into this ROM? I know I can install a streaming app but they take up data, the FM Radio app allows me to connect to local radio stations for free...

FM radio doesn't work on D4 (the spirit FM radio app works on other cm9 builds). something to do with a conflict between it and D4's OTA update code.

xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM][4.0.4][AROMA][OTA Kitchen] D4 Rom v9.0 - D4 Theme Engine v4.0 [26/04/12]

edit: then i read this recent post...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25422575&postcount=2167

i was using an older vers of Spirit which didn't work, tada, installed the latest vers of the lite app and it works lovely. FM Radio DOES work on D4. in this case, i'm happy to prove myself wrong :)

I prefer this ROM to AndyX, but I'm missing the FM radio. Themes are still unavailable, the engine just leaves me hanging.

For me and a friend, Spirit FM (Not the religious radio station :p) works perfectly; it does not use streaming etc.

I was just wondering if anyone could recommend the "best" (I know this is a personal thing..!) modem for D4. I'm currently using XLPQ (which came with D4 v.9) but I was wondering if there was anything better out there - I'm sure I was getting better reception (both radio and data) with my GB modem...

IMHO it would be "LPS" - http://androidforums.com/galaxy-s2-...root/481592-links-firmware-kernel-modems.html - has been the best for me and several friends.
