So in about two weeks I will be moving to Verizon, because Sprint has ZERO coverage anywhere or anywhere near where I am moving too. I have my eyes set on a Galaxy Nexus, is there another phone I should be looking at? Or one that will be released very soon I might want to hold out for? (And by soon I mean very soon, have to do the switch soon.) I had the Samsung Galaxy II Epic 4G Touch on Sprint. Thanks in Advance.

Ya like I said, this will be in the next couple of weeks most likely. I just want to make sure that I don't get a phone only to find out something I may have liked better comes out a few days later is all. So for me it is either the Razr or the Nexus. I would love a Razr Maxx but it is to expensive for me atm.

Played around with the RAZR MAXX a little at the store a few months ago and it seemed good but I've heard bad things about MotoBlur.

Did you see anything that you didn't like about MotoBlur? Many people say bad things about it based on old versions that were more intrusive and less useful.

I'm assuming your list is there for a reason so I'll stick to it. And this is just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth. First off, remember all of these phones EAT battery life on 4G LTE. It's fast when you need it, but you'll need to get an extended battery, extra battery, or be near a charger all day to keep from running out of juice before the end of a normal work day.

As to the phones:

There's no question that Motorola, hands down, makes the most physically solid phones with the best radios. The Bionic is a good phone, but there are big questions as to when it might get any software updates. I don't know about the Droid 4, but it's only big selling point is that it's got a physical keyboard. Otherwise, it's not really much for me to get excited about.

The Nexus looks good on paper, but I've seen allot of complaints about the radio on it not working well. Dropped signals and calls seem to be a big issue.

The Rezound has the best screen and the neat inclusion of the headphones and Beats Audio. But, it also eats battery.

The Charge is not even worth considering, to be honest. It's not even in the same league as the others. It's specs are WAY out of date.

I had the Bionic and I sold it and bought a Rezound. IMO, that's the best one on your list and you won't go wrong with it.

Finally, when in doubt, go to the store and hold them in your hand and look at the screens yourself to see what you like best. In the end, it's your phone for 2 years so it needs to be one you like.

Radio is a big deal. Not worried about 4g atm because there isn't any anywhere near where I will be. Fun to play with when I am in areas it is in, but it won't be a regular thing at all. I figured the Nexus may have radio problems because in general Samsung does. I have a E4GT and it has radio issues. Great phone, by the radio issues are frustrating. Never had a Motorola but I am leaning towards the Razr atm. Hanks for the replies.

If you're leaning towards the RAZR, I suggest you seriously consider the Maxx unless money is an issue. I you happen to get 4G where you are (alot can happen in 2 years) or you spend much time in a 4G area, the battery in the Maxx is great and will for sure get you through a day or more.

Best of luck whatever you decide to do,

I would love to get the Maxx but I don't have $400 dollars to do so (getting 2 lines, possibly 3 in the future).

Also what are the differences between the Maxx and the Razr? Besides the battery of course.

Played around with the RAZR MAXX a little at the store a few months ago and it seemed good but I've heard bad things about MotoBlur. I'd choose the Galaxy Nexus as it's pure ICS. That being said, I'm personally waiting to see what's next... maybe Samsung Galaxy III or a HTC One X variant???

Definitely the MAXX right now. Motoblur is quite unobtrusive in my opinion (switched from HTC Incredible and Sense) and the battery life is to die for. I tried the Droid 4 first for about a week, then went for the Maxx. Couldn't be more pleased!

I had the MAXX and yeah moto blur was kinda boring but what made me return it was the screen. Not just its odd uglyness but the awful resolution. Had it been the new fighter that is rumored to be here soon I would have kept it!

Got a GNex and am more than happy. Guess I got lucky with not having any issues too!!!!

After having a thunderbolt I was used to the battery deal, but ICS is great and the development community is amazing and I'm plenty happy!

With 3G all day the rezound or gnex should be OK, but the MAXX battery seems like a real solid choice also.

If you can, wait for the HD version!

Happy choosing!

Also keep in mind that there are ways to get around Motoblur,Sense, and Touchwiz.
There are some excellent launchers that you can install, that will take away whatever you don't like about the original phone interface. Go Launcher, and ADW Launcher come to mind, but there are several good ones available in the Android Playstore/Market. You can give them a try, and if they aren't to your liking, just uninstall, and try another. That is part of the beauty of Android.:)

Absolutely nothing other than the battery. Well, you can get the original Razr in 3 colors (black, purple, and white) but that's a style preference instead of a technical one.

To be honest, no didn't see anything I didn't like, just going on what I've heard and read. I only played with it enough to run speedtest and quadrant (I believe) and check of the web browser. So I was really only on it for a few minutes.

I am quite torn atm. I love pure Google. And at one point the Galaxy Nexus was a no brainer. But of course being the kind of person that researches everything, I started to have my doubts. The Razr looks awesome, but I read the battery isn't removable? Is that right? Also this is probably a given but the Razr is getting ICS correct?

I would love to hold out, but my cell phone is my only way of people getting in contact with me. So since Sprint has ZERO coverage where I am, I need to switch in the next 2 weeks, a month tops.

The Razr, Razr Maxx, and the Droid 4 all have non-removable batteries so if something goes wrong, you're stuck sending it in for service. And, you can't replace it in the middle of the day if you need to. That's why the Maxx is so popular - it's battery will last you all day and then some so it isn't as big of a problem that you can't remove it.

As for ICS, all are supposed to be receiving it, but there's just lots of rumors on the time frame - no actual dates put out by Verizon yet on when. The Bionic is also supposed to receive ICS, but that won't be until after the Razr and Droid 4 phones get it.

The removable battery is a big deal to me. I like having the option of an extra battery. And don't like the fact I would have to send the Razr out for service. I would just go for the Maxx, just can't afford it. Any of the HTC phones any good? I had an Eris WAY back. Liked it. Looks like it's Nexus or bust LOL.
