Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the more serious media playing programs and what they think of them.

I saw goneMad was 2$ off off a usual 4$ and was considering jumping on it.

Yay or nay as to whether or not its worth it?

Don't know goneMad. PowerAmp is very popular, & I've been using it since it was first released (that fact is my recommendation

).

I like WinAmp better than PowerAmp. No matter how I adjusted the PowerAmp pre-amp settings, I couldn't get it to be as loud as other music players like WinAmp. WinAmp provides a bunch of great features, like WiFi synchronization with your PC/Mac, Shoutcast Internet Radio, plug-in support (like MusixMatch lyrics), and in-app integration with the Web, YouTube, Pandora, etc.

Turning Replay Gain off in PowerAmp increases volume. I can push it up to deafening without raising gains in the equaliser.

WinAmp for Android does not support lyrics yet. WinAmp lyric plugins are only for PC.

MusixMatch integrates with WinAmp to display lyrics whenever a song is played.
