Root Overclock Uk Motorola Milestone?

Sup everyone,

im new to the android scene, and im looking to purchase one of these Milestones... is it possible to overclock these? Dont wanna buy one if i cant increase its performance hehe :cool:

Can someone who's tekkie give this one a go and simplify a how-to?

Does this mean the phone HAS to be rooted first with a dodgy ROM that may brick it AND THEN install the APK, or what happens if you just install the APK on a non-rooted milestone?

Not impressed with speed on 2.1, and RAM is teeny weeny, been maxed out since day one with essential apps.
