I am totally confused about my charge's battery usage. Sometimes it gets "hot" while nothing is actively running... For example:

1. leave home with 100% charged
2. used google navigation for ~30min to find a place - after usage maybe 80% left or so.
3. hang out with people for 2-3 hours with minimal phone usage.
4. pull out phone - it is WARM and battery like 30-40ish. I read the battery usage and it has mostly "display and brightness" and "system OS" for most usage. Its not like i am turning my phone on and off all the time and i seriously doubt i "accidentally" turned it on and off in my pocket...

So i am super confused about this... any recommendations?

If it is warm when you take it out of your pocket, its probably been searching for a signal as mentioned before. This phenomenon will suck the life out of your battery.

Today, I have went 14hrs. 41 mins and it is just now flashing red and ready to shutoff. I have used it several times today for 5-10 min calls, sent dozens of texts, checked Facebook several times, etc.

The biggest thing that saves me battery life is to turn it to 3G, which is fast enough for MOST things I do with it during the day. I am guessing maybe 8 hrs. on 4G with the same usage, maybe less?

Hope this helps.

so today i tried it out..
1. at 100% used navigation for ~30min. got to the hangout at about 85%.
2. so i turned off 4g and gps.. after an hour it went to about 65%.
3. basically until 5ish i was at about 20%. Only thing i really used during that time was checking email occasionally and thats about it...

any tips?
