Help Sprint Galaxy Nexus reception issues?

I just got a Galaxy Nexus the other day!!! Anyways, it's running 4.0.4 on Sprint. I have updated my PRL and my profile so everything on the phone is up to date.
Here is my problem. I have a constant -100 dbm 1 asu signal.
Also, I'm in an area that doesn't get 4G LTE but the 3G connection is really bad. In fact, I was gonna do a speed test to post here but it wont even connect. Yesterday I think i got like 265 kbps.
I upgraded from an old HTC Hero and I never had these problems.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? I was thinking of exchanging it for a new one. Or should I try and get the HTC Evo 4g LTE?

No problems at all with the other device.

I believe that my phone is up to date. It looks as though I do have it
Baseband version
L700.05 V.FD02 / L700.FD02

Very strange - will Sprint tech support get you out a new device to make sure its not this particular phone?

If it is not just that device, but the Nexus in general might try going with the Evo.

I just got back from the Sprint store. The guy said that I was the only one that came to him with that issue. He ordered me a new one so hopefully that one doesn't have the same problem.

Keep us posted!

same numbers for me on my Sprint Nexus. My old Hero seemed to have better phone reception at my home and work....
Do I need to call Sprint??

I am seeing a slightly lower reception on my Nexus than my old OG Droid, but nothing that greatly affects the usage of the phone.
