Root Rooting stock OTA ICS?

I'm just wondering, since I never bothered with the ICS leak or any of that stuff- Is there any process out there to root the stock OTA update ICS for the A500? Everything I've found either has to do with the leak, or Honeycomb (which didn't work for me before the update anyway).

I checked the post at the top of the forum and everything in there was for Honeycomb as well. Is there just no way yet? Or is there just no interest in it at all?

there is a special procedure to unlock the bootloader on the A500. I read through the process but honestly felt it a bit complicated for my pea brain at this point of understanding. You have to come up with the CUPID from the tablet and then there is a flash process which uses the PC connected to the tablet via ADB. Im hoping someone will come up with a one click method for boneheads like me or at least a very straight forward set of instructions.

I used Blackthund3r's method and it was simple. I had saved my CPUID from the very start when we first flashed the tablet. To start uou go to here |-| Androonay |-| to You enter the cpuid and get your SBK number then you can check this number before you commit any further. It is a lot of steps but with Blackthund3r it cuts it down to les that half the steps.

I dont think we did the soff but I have flashed so many things in the last year I cant remember. I will check I save all my info when I do anything. So if we have s off I will have the stuff to make it happen .

I dont see anything about Soff so I aaume we dont have it. The way I had the ICS bootloader update is that after updating to ICS bootloader your tablet is much easer to recover in casy you frick something up. I dont know why but that is what Civato is saying.
