Coming SOON: May 31- HTC Evo V (4G)- ICS

no, it's definitely a dual core. I read that sprint talks to HTC to manufacturer their phones slightly modified in order to produce it on a prepaid market. I'm 80% sure it has a 3D screen.

Danggit I want a list of upcoming 4g cities for this thing lol. I'm a bit concerned I won't be able to use 4g with this thing. Sensorly shows some 4g coverage in my city but not at my home. I guess that's ok since I have a computer there :p

http://www.sensorly.com/map

Apparently, these coverage maps are generated based on user data that has been uploaded and display's what different people are receiving so you won't have to worry about a carrier's (most likely) exaggerated map :p

How much does a dual core CPU cost? Because I just read VM/Sprint never specificed what it is...so they could shaft us and put a lesser one to save money.....like how a site said took out the 3D screen, maybe the CPU also to make it cheaper :what:

dual cores really aren't that expensive... especially when the cpu in the Evo 3D is an older generation and they now have S4 snapdragon cpus in phones...

I was told that 4G will not be throttled. Only the 3G. I was also told there will be no soft cap for the hotspot as well since it's going to have a monthly add on of $15.

They are currently offering unlimited 4G because there are not going to be very many subscribers. I believe this is a trial period to see how well they can "revamp" Virgin Mobile.
I think once they start releasing more 4G phones, We're likely to see a soft cap/throttling.
This could change, The phone hasn't been released yet after all.

Boost Mobile will be already implanting it's own soft cap of 2.5GB for it's 3G and 4G phones from what I've heard. Virgin Mobile isn't nearly as popular nor does it have as large of a customer base. That's likely why we are getting the true unlimited...For however long it lasts.

The once u add the hotspot there well be a cap to 3.5gb then after that u well be slow down but 4g they are gone yo treat it the same as the 3g if u dont have hotspot

Okay, so I checked clearwire.com this time and if I am reading it correctly, there doesn't appear to be any 4G coverage in my area.

Now I'm having second thoughts about buying this phone. Seems pointless buying a 4G phone if I can't use the 4G.

I won't have 4G where I am going either but I convinced myself that it is a better phone overall. Most phones are better then the Triumph but this will blow it out of the water :D

clearwire I told was inaccurate about the 4g map in my city so that leads me to be skeptical of them.. I'd try sensorly (google it). The maps they use are generated by the users that upload data (I think through an app) as they travel to indicate which service is where. It's pretty ingenious.

Yayz I do have 4G thn :D I lied I'm on the edge so i might not :(

according to sensorly, I may or may not get 4G in my area. I would hate to move up to $35 a month and not get the 4G, i'd rather stay with the Triumph and $25 dollar plan if that is the case.

Do you think Virgin Mobile will switch me back to my triumph and $25 a month if I dont get 4G in my area?

I have Ben hearing that after may 27 it will be $35 even if you grandfathered the $25 plan. Someone tell me if I'm wrong.(I may be wrong idk)

only if you buy a phone that was released after then and activate it on your grandfathered account. If you buy a MT and you had an OV even after May 27 with a grandfathered account you would still be grandfathered.

Do I think VM would? No they wouldn't if you bought the Evo V and activated it on your account.
