Anyone playing Dark Meadows here?

Great game but it is a freemimium type game, sort of. I'm a level 45 and have some good stuff but the really good stuff is bought by the way of sun coins. Although you can accumulate sun coins without having to buy them from through Google Play it would take a long time to get enough to get the really good stuff.
Over at XDA someone said if you buy the premimum user pack ($4.99 on Google Play) it would change all the stuff that uses sun coins to buy to the regular money you find throughout the game. I have not received an answer over there yet. Is this true?
I really like the game and think I can beat it with just the regular money (have almost beaten it twice already) but I think I'm just not powerful enough with the best equipment that the regular money can buy. I would spend 5 bucks and go against my don't spend money on a freemimium game if it changed all the sun coin stuff to regular money if it's true because the game is that good.

I'll confirm the Premium User pack, but I think I may have been the one who told you about it on XDA. It lets you start off with 150 sun coins, 15 grenades and 10 med packs, and it changes all of the weapons and charms to gold instead of sun coins. It's well worth the $5.99 for me, even though I don't really like spending money in freemium games. I figured it was the same as buying the game.

By the way, the keys to the game are getting weapons with soul steal and having plenty of grenades and first aid kits for the top level.

I've been playing a few days now.

* edit* I did purchase it but the game crashed after purchase and did not go through. Did not bother trying a second time! I also tried one of the download coin offers and the game again crashed when going back to it.

So i am sticking to messing with it without paying.

I'm only level 17 and nearly made it through the 17 floors!! lol Just waiting for a few better items. What have you been boosting on your stats andies? I have purely been boosting health as that seems the only thing worth upgrading. As for the cross bow, bah hardly use it on the higher level monsters. Seems almost useless, I will purchase a better one just to boost stats at some point.

Weapons and amulets are what I've been using to boost my health and only putting stat points into defense and blocks. I've also found if you use the combo moves it effectively doubles your striking power. If I use down-down-right-left-left my one hit strike is over 1000hp. It's hard to do that to the old man once he transformed but when you hit him it hurts him

This is just with buying the gold weapons. Never used any of my sun coins which I have 151. Right now I'm sitting on 600,000+ cash. I have a +30 soul steal blade and also the Tribal Edge blade +100 health, +20 block and +160 melee.

I almost killed the old man after he transformed the second time last night but I was getting tired and lost concentration.
Solomons Wisdom Ammulet +1850 health +70 exp

EDIT - I come to the conclusion that crossbows are a waste of money unless you get the really really high end ones which I haven't been able to afford. Also you'll end up in a melee most of the time anyway.

You know, I have not performed any combo's - knowingly that is. lol Something to try out later in the week. I am about to buy the +30 soul steal blade. I agree with you on the cross-bows, most monsters dodge them easily or are firing back at you and it is just much more easy to wait until they are close.

What is your highest kill combo andies? Mine is a small 22.

I do know something, the game reminds me of Fallout 3 in looks. Makes me a little sad as I do miss playing that game.

I completed the game last night. All I really needed was a few bombs to soften him up a bit. My highest kill streak is 34 but I haven't gone on a kill streak run with my better sword. My highest combo hit is 1075. Kills most low level monsters in 2 tries. That combo hit is down-down-right-left-left. Fun game, I'm starting a new game today and try some different strategies.

I see there is an update out, buggered if I am going to be keeping this game updated as it requires a FULL re-download of over 500MB each time!! Sod that.. another oversight by the developers. The other being not putting an exit button in place.

I wasnt aware you could buy the game, thought it just in app purchases for items.

The game is free. There is gold that you find and something called sun coins. Sun coins get you the good stuff. You can complete the game with just collecting the gold but the sun coins buys the good stuff unless yo buy what is called the user premium pack or something like that. It's $4.99 in the in-game store. The premium pack changes all the weapons to gold purchase but you still need sun coins to buy gems and bombs. So it's a different kind of freemimum game. You can complete it with spending any money which I almost did but I liked it so much I supported it buy purchasing the premium pack. Good game, best one yet on Android that I've played.

I installed this yesterday and when i start new game there is that waking up scene when some guy is talking to me but right away the game freezes and ends itself. No idea how to fix that...

What I would do is clear the games cache, then reboot just in case something is running that is causing a conflict KouDy.
