Hey y'all. I need so advice ASAP. My rooted nexus is running liquid V3.5 with no issues. No new apps or anything. Been using a OG Droid charger since I've had the phone, also never had an issue. My phone will not charge in the house. Only using my car charger????
Tried many chargers and outlets, no luck. So currently my keys are in my car so I can charge my phone. I've done a reboot to no avail. I def don't want to factory reset. Please help.....

My OEM cable that came with the phone stopped working after a month or so, but if it's multiple cables it could be something else.

First, try a dedicated AC charger, something like the Kindle Fire charger where it's just the wall wart with a micro usb end (this may work since your car charger works).

If you can't get a cable type charger to work, and you need to get back to stock, I've seen some people suggest using tweezers to push the middle usb peg on the phone, up towards the screen slightly for a better connection. However, I fully understand if you don't want to do that.

My OEM cable failed 2 weeks after I got it, and Verizon replaced it with a wonderful 9' job. Well, 3 months later the little block that plugs into the wall failed... the cable itself was fine, just that little square block went bad. They replaced it and all is well.

But if you can't charge by USB either, then that tells me one of two things: if you're using different cables to charge by wall and USB, you clearly have something in the phone that's squirrely... unless you're trying the same cable in both places. Two cables COULD go bad, and the fact that your car charges the phone leaves me scratching my head a bit.

Yeah, I would say a trip to Verizon is in order.

mines doing the same thing, it wont charge on wall charger but will if connect it to computer. the only thing the computer says usb device not recognized. i took it to verizon the said the battery charger on the phone is defective and i had to do a claim for it. so i did and got charged 99 dollars. does that sound right? ive had the phone since it launched so im not sure if the warranty is still valid.

its the Charger. the stock charger that comes with the phone is known to be "loose" in the port. if you buy "universal one" that VZW recommends it is thicker and a much tighter fit. it was done purposely that way because they were noticing a combination of the loose fit and a ware on the prongs of the charger where making a poor connection. it is covered under the manufacturers warrenty i had the issue of it not charging with the one given to me but in the car works perfectly... the car chargers are tighter in the port... Go back to where you bought it if you dont want to wait for one in the mail

That very same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. No plug I tried worked...or at least didn't seem to. I got absolutely no Charging icon on the battery, however it held a charge while plugged into the wall, just didn't increase it. I pulled the SIM card and battery, and replaced, Same Problem.
Then I remembered I put the MyWater Live wallpaper from the Asus Transformer on my Phone. The one with ice cubes floating in water that shows your battery level....(Hmmmm)...I changed Screen Savers, removed another battery widget, pulled the battery, plugged it in and It started to show the charging icon.

I replaced everything, and charged it...i'm running the MyWater screen saver again and it never came back...

Not sure, if it was plugging it in with the battery out, then replacacing the battery, removing the screen saver and widget or what?:beerglass:

Vzw is over nighting a replacement. If its good ill be happy. Its just a damn hassel. Gonna try to make it through today on some spare batteries....

im in the same situation, rooted and i have to push up on the cord towards the screen to get a charge. How did you get away with sending a rooted phone back to verizon? I cant even get this phone back to stock cause my computer wont recognize the usb device
