Help Screen Replacement on Moto Droid Bionic

I need to replace the screen on a Motorola Droid Bionic phone.

I dropped it, and the screen shattered.

As an example, the iPhone screen replacement requires me to purchase the glass digitizer and lcd screen combo. They come together.

Does anyone know if it's the same for this Droid? I can find the glass and lcd separate, but I can't find them together.

Any ideas?

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but I wanted to piggy back this thread with a problem that I am having. I needed to replace the digitizer in my wife's Bionic because she spiderwebbed her's and I bought the digitizer from ebay with the listing title "Motorola Droid Bionic XT875 Touch Screen Digitizer Glass New OEM Repair Cracked". After replacement, everything worked perfectly and I was happy with the install. After almost a day, however, my wife complained that the touch screen wasn't operating properly. After further analysis, it turns out that the right side of the screen (including the "Back" and "Search" softkeys) were not functioning at all. The left side (including softkeys) all worked fine, but the right side wouldn't respond to any touches.

Based on this information, would this be a digitizer fault due to a crappy digitizer or is it something in my install?

If you need any additional information, please feel free to ask.

Thank you all for your time and help.

I just replaced one for a guy here at work.
IMHO, I would blame this issue on inferior parts.
I can't think of much you could have done during the install that would have caused only half of the screen to not work.
My $.02
As tempting as some of the cheap screens are on some sites, I suggested he go with one from a website that sold OEM parts and offers a guarantee. Like this one. Screen I have no association to this website but also note they sell custom pre-cut replacement adhesive as well. Adhesive That is a very nice thing to have, makes replacing the screen much much easier.

Funny i have to climb poles and hang off of wires and beams for my job. Sometimes im 100 feet in the air with nothing but air below me and some pointy objects at the bottom. Today my bionic fell from an incredible height of about 2' and broke the glass. Sigh. Now where do we get the glass or better?

My Bionic went through the was Christmas day, and is no linger working. I've bought a used Galaxy SIII, so I have a Bionic with a perfect screen. I'm not sure what else works on the phone (only the LED flashes when powered up, but let me know if you're interested in it fro parts. I also have a bunch of accessories (vehicle mount, batteries, HDMI dock, several cases).
