SG Tab 10.1 vs Transformer Prime

I have been sold on the transformer since Christmas, but held out because of the wifi issues.

I was close to buying the updated Transformer until I saw the new Galaxy at Costco for quite a bit less. Now after doing some reading, I'm wondering if the Galaxy is more for me. So here are my questions in comparing the two.

I really want my tablet to replace my laptop. That is mainly for web, occasional word processing, and banking. I also need it to print on occasion.

What really had me sold on the Prime was the keyboard accessory that made it closer to a laptop. I don't know if the Galaxy has that or not.

So my question is, for my needs, should I consider the Galaxy and can I buy a keyboard accessory?

Seems alot cheaper than the Transformer Prime.

I use mine for pretty much the same as you: web browsing, word processing, email, banking, chat, etc. Works good for me.
I dont own the prime and have never used one, so Im sorry I cannot compare them personally. I can tell you that i do love my SGT though :p
As for the keboard, Samsung does make one for the 10.1: Galaxy Tab? 10.1 Keyboard Dock (Full-Size)

Printing...not sure about that. I know it can be done, there are threads all over this forum with people having done it a few different ways. Most seem to use a wifi printer and a progam on the tablet...heres one thread that may be useful:

Hopefully this helps a little.

I once owned the 16 GB Tab, went to the Prime, then went back to the 32 GB Tab. Here's the breakdown for me:

Tab is better because it has a nicer screen. Colors look better. Reds look red. Whites look white. The screen simply looks better.

Prime is better because it is much lighter. It's got ICS and has the ability to throttle the CPU up and down natively so you can decide if you want performance or battery life. ICS translates very well to the tablet. The only knock I have on the Prime is the screen. It's easily the brightest I've seen and looks great even outdoors. The problem is colors don't translate well. Whites look yellowy and reds look orangish IMO. I've showed it to other people though and they couldn't see this.

Owned both, and have to say the Prime is a hell of a lot better.
HC on the Tab is a nightmare. ICS on the Prime helps with speed, app switching (though HC really brought this feature to ICS), browsing is much nicer. For me, it's all about the keyboard. True, you can pair the Tab with any BT keyboard, but the Prime's is made specifically for it and gives you tons of extra battery life (and the full USB is great).
If you want to save a little bit of money, take a look at the TF300T as well. BTW, I have no wifi issues on my Prime and don't really care about GPS.

Interesting. I had them both and ditched the Prime for the Tab. :) I had to have the better screen.
