Has anyone have there phone heat up after the 4.0.3 update ? My phone is not getting that hot but is warning up more then when I was on 2.2.3

Is no one having this issue ? I updated threw Ordin and my base band version is I9100MUGLD3 got it from Sammobile. Like I said in my first post it is not heating to extreme heats but I remember when I first updated to 2.3 there were problems with heating issue and 2.3.3 solved them. Was wondering if there is going to be an update that is going to look at this or is this a normal thing for ICS ?

i'm on GB and my phone still heats up big time -.- battery drains like crazy too.. but after the Checkrom installation, it's sort of tamed now..

I got a same problem since update to ICS, never happend before when it was on Gingerbread :mad:

yeh my phone also get quit hot when it's on idle and battery drain also quit fast like while playing any game or surfing web battery lasts only 3 to 3.30 hours. not like my iPhone which last 10 to 15 hours while playing high graphic games like Gangster Rio and for web surfing it lasts more then 20 hours and on idle only 1% battery drain in 10 hours .
my s2 is running android 4.0.3

check this pictures my phone is on idle 100% chraged and it's battery drain like crazy hope samsung fix this problem soon (but i don't think they now care about thier OLD phone :mad:

That looks as though you may have a rogue app, or settings, that is draining your battery.

You can install BetterBatteryStats from the Play Store to monitor exactly what is using your battery.

Alternatively, you could do a Factory Reset and introduce your app's, one-by-one, until you find which one is causing the high usage.

Mine also getting hotter again after ICS, and battery life is nowhere near as long.

It can't have been truly idle - in an uptime of 2h 31m, 70% of the battery usage has been due to the display, according to the second image. It also won't help that you ran a benchmark app.

Just looks like the screen is on most of the time. Maybe the screen off settings is set to too long a period. Or he's been checking his phone every once in a while and can't stop himself.

Don't look like much wake logs.

its amazing how much battery is used when you are not in airplane mode. I have been in airplane mode for 4days 23 hrs 59 min and am at 40% still. So I think it might be the data and WiFi and cell reception that will kill my battery in like 5 - 10 hours.

Did anyone eventually get the problem sorted? I still have the problem, even after Samsung exchanged my phone for a new one. It seems like a software issue with ICS.
Does anyone have a fix?
