Yeah, I am wondering that as well. I have been looking for the black version of this gel case as I really like the blue on they sent.

Yeah this was a very nice (voluntary!!) gesture from Sprint.
OTOH, it's kind of hard for me to picture Verizon or AT&T making a gesture like that, unless there was court order behind it ;-p! Yeah, put Apple in that group too: they had billions of extra cash stuffed into some iMattresses, yet the stingy bums had to be publically shamed into providing the free case to bandaid the antenna problems with the iPhone 4!

That's very cool that Sprint woud go out of their way to send people a case, plus a note saying sorry for the delay. I know it costs Sprint pennies on the dollar to produce these cases, but it does cost them quite a bit of money to ship them out to customers.
