Help My new S III first problem :(

Hey all

So got my lovely white S III few hours ago off the Royal Mail man :D
One amazing phone! Love it very fast and any one who thinks the screen is bad then dont worry its epic!

So I saved my contacts from my old S II to a SDcard that was in my SII to the S3 . . .After all the contacts had synced . . .I pressed back but it froze and then I got TouchWiz Launcher Stopped!

Then this happened on a loop so all thing I could do now was turn off then remove battery. Same thing happened on reboot :( So it was a hard reset.
After doing the few set up screens all was well again. I was gonna start downloading all my apps again etc but decided to see if the problem was the importing from the SD card so again I import contacts.

Again it does the same thing, so it looks like that was the problem  I hope.

Can anyway advise me on this? Could it be a setting or something that got onto SD from S II that the S III doesnt like?

Apart from that the phone is amazing!

Thank you . .

If your contacts are saved as "phone". Contacts, as soon as you log into your Gmail Account it should instantly place your Contacts into the appropriate place. Can you copy the contents of your Sd card to your PC, and then reformat? It sounds to me like you may have some files acting up on you. Also, we're you running a Stock Rom, or no?

Absolutely! I would try it without using that App;in fact uninstall and reinstall it if you can. What are your overall impressions, versus the GSII?

Yeah I would try getting the contacts into a .csv file and then importing them into googlemail. That way when you put your google account on your new S3 it will bring up all the contacts. Neat.

Another method that I have noticed is via samsung. If you already have the S2 you can sync your contacts with the samsung account and then I presume you can bring them over to the new phone when you sign in with that account.

And yes the screen is amazing. I now look at the screen on my previous Desire and feel blind!
