First part yes. Second part no. Second part - You order online and you will receive code via email after activation. You won't receive a gift card at all. That's the terms. Now if you can work something out with them when you pick it up at the store, is a different story.
I think we were saying the same thing but I may have just worded it funky.
Bottom line, if I want to pre-order Evo LTE's from Best Buy my best bet will be to go into the store today and pre-order to get the $50 gift card (I assume this will be gone once they are available tomorrow, effectively canceling the 'pre-order') and then go back in tomorrow to pick them up and apply the $50 gift card to each phone making them $150 plus tax. Sound about right to you?
I will pay about $14 tax on each phone (since you pay tax on the $199 price and not the $149 price that you pay after GC) so I would much rather place my pre-order from Amazon.com but they still don't show it as available so I'm alright with paying $14 per phone to have them in my hand tomorrow rather than waiting until sometime next week.
