Just forced the OTA update to my phone.............here's how.

I read this on another forum, and since I had nothing better to do I gave it a shot...........and it worked.

Home/menu/settings/apps/all/google services framework/

Touch this.

Once it opens clear data and force stop it.

Hit home/settings/about phone/check for updates.

It took me 7-8 times doing it, and then it started downloading the update, installed, and no problems at all. Some of the other people on that forum did it 3 times and it worked, some did it 15 and it worked, and of course some did it a lot and nothing happened.

Nothing is lost by clearing the data and force stopping it, so no fear there.

Give it a shot, you really have nothing to loose but about 10 minutes of time............and you have a lot to gain if it works.

Tried it three times with with no luck. Then someone from teh Google knocked on my door. When I answered, he slapped me and demanded my phone saying I was too gullible to own it.

When your phone is in the queue, it is in the queue.

I heard of a guy who got the update while watching Chopped on The Food Network. I am gonna watch it tonight to see if that works.

I saw this method on another forum and it seemed to work for people for the GSM update a while back. I tried it just now 15 times and no dice for me. I have seen some people claim that they did it as many as 30 times.

It does clear the "last checked for update at x:xxpm" out and changes it to last checked 12/31/1969.

It actually DID work, on the second try. I hit force close, then cleared data, and BAM. Downloading update now...

Ok.... I have been trying to clear data and the force close all day. No luck.

Then I tried to force close FIRST then clear data.... And it worked the very first time. Could be a complete coincidence, but give it a shot.... Couldn't hurt.

Same here!
Cleared data, forced close, cleared data again (not sure if necessary), then went to 'check for updates' and it worked the first time.

didn't work for me after about 15 tries, seems to be working for others tho, so nice find and thanks for reporting that.

UPDATE:
Well, after a total of about 25 tries, i've been trying this on and off for a few hours, the update has come in. One could think that just with the update rolling out, time has passed and the update has simply just arrived for my serial number, but I still think this workaround is what did it for me.

I tried this about 20 times last night and nothing got up this morning checked the update nothing.. Then tried the force trick and bam, got the update on the third try.

Just forced the OTA update to my phone.............here's how.
