*sigh* I called my local store just now and was told no, they dont have them yet and that each store was only allowed to get 1 due to limited quantity. Guess ill have to wait till shift change and call back or drive an hr to another store. No wonder Sprint stores in my town always go outta business, incompetent workers.

Thank you! As my store opened at 8 instead of 10! I'm feeding my vicious beast battery life as it rest to gain full strength!
I don't know how it is in S. Carolina, I called three other stores and all of them had more than 10!? I know people
When I was at my local store, me and the manager played with 2 LTEvo (Display phones, but real) and my store had 11 people on the pre-order list (she didn't care I saw the list
) and she said they will put the 11 away and the rest was first come first serve!

It is what it is, I'm happy with my deal, I'll just have to be persistent for WifelyMon.
Anyhoo, they called me last night, mine's in, the deal's set, the store opens in ten minutes.

I'm on hold with Wirefly right now. My order status screen popped up just a few minutes ago for me to contact them to verify information on my account. Hopefully, mine ships today and since their warehouse is only about 45 minutes from me I should get it ASAP. I have people already calling me to purchase my EVO 4g. Can't lose the sale, but need the new phone first!

Congrats Early!!! As much time as you spent in the Nexus pre-release I felt bad you had nothing to earn in the end. Glad you're getting something now!

Called the store next town over where I got my OG Evo and they said same thing, that they have 0 in stock, and will only be getting 1 or 2 and they're reserved for those on waiting list. They had no ETA on when the 1st one was to arrive, but I could come up in person and add my name to waiting list. Oh well, maybe this is a sign not to impulse-buy lol

Just in case anybody is from Massachusetts on here? My girlfriend and I went to the Sprint corporate store on Rte 9 in Shrewsbury and she picked one up they had about 20 on the back counter.

EL TEvo has landed!
Got my $150 in Evo trade-in plus discounts, net $50,so I decided to try out an Otterbox Defender while I was at it.
Charging now - nice screen.
Wanted to get a second business line, plans changed while waiting for the GNex. Oh well, right?
Yep, it's launch day, so the lock is coming. I snagged the OP, so I figured marctronixx can snag the lock when it's time.
Really want to thank everyone for making this such a great thread!

nice glad to hear that.. Me not so lucky, I got a message that said has to clear the quality assurance and the notice says 2-3 weeks. No # yet.

Mine says the same thing, but when I spoke to the rep, he was pretty sure mine will ship today. No guarantees. I have someone waiting to buy my original EVO, so I need to get the new phone ASAP.

Congrats EM and to everyone else who got their brand new EVOs today. Every store in my area are either sold out or don't have any shipments yet LOL!!!! That's ok though. I'm getting one towards next weekend anyway. That will be my birthday gift. Plus, the GF will finally get a new phone next weekend as well. Until then, I'm getting my accessories. Fun times ahead.

pre releases are always quite fun. we laugh, we cry (this time we cried more than the other evo launches, but good things come in 3's right?), we make new "friends" and meet some trolls (remember the evo 3d pre-release "insider" stuff? HA!) but its a fun ride with ups and downs. its the one time its cool to be a geek and a early adopter!
sprint and htc both love this bunch of critters because it lets them know how popular their shiny new toy will be received. and this current version of the evo brand will not disappoint.
to everyone: enjoy your new toys. some of us have had the luxury to have had them for a week now and as Curly said on a stooge short one day (talking about his soup he just made...)
