[Verizon] No service on Slim ICS 3.8

I am trying to switch from AOKP milestone 5 to Slim ICS 3.8. I cannot get any service after I flash slim. Since I am going from one ics rom to another I just follow these instructions

Put the slim ics 3.8 base and essentials on to your sdcard
format data
clear cache
clear dalvik cache
then flash the slim ics base
then flash the essentials

I have verified the SHA1 and still can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions?

Could it be a recovery issue? (idk I'm asking myself too)

What recovery are y'all using to flash with?

I went into recovery from bootloader. CWM keeps fc'ing on me so I haven't tried through that.

Wait....what? Your trying to flash the SlimICS rom through clock work mod recovery correct? And it force closes? Or do you mean ROM Manager is fc'ing?

CWM is blue and is the recovery where you flash flashable zips. RM or Rom manager is an app where you can flash ROMS through as well, but it reboots your phone into the CWM recovery so you can flash there.

If you're flashing the ROM in CWM you're doing it correctly. Matter of fact flashing something directly in recovery is much better than using using RM to automate it imo. What version of CWM do you have. I don't know if this is your issue, but rather trying to help you troubleshoot it

Did you flash any new radios as well? Does Slim include one? That could be an issue.

I flash through CWM. I'm using leaked 4.0.4 radios.

Maybe also format system as a last step prior to flashing the rom? I do this on every rom flash.

I am running SlimICS 3.9, that's what's current now. I'm not having any reception issues with this ROM.

I know that's not what you guys are talking about, but that's just my $0.02.
