That could very well be possible. bigger, higher res screen = more processing power needed. Also more battery life needed. I can see the Inc 4G being snappier and having significantly better battery life than the One X. I had the OG Inc, and LOVED it. I honestly think as a total package, it was a better phone than any other I have owned on Verizon. It didn't have the best specs on paper, but something just clicked... But we won't know about the Inc 4G until it goes into service...

Completely agree. Verizon will be 4G on my hometown within weeks, so I really want this phone. I just think it is funny how people see specs that have smaller screen and battery and the label mid range and think that means inferior.

The chat person yesterday told me to call customer service for a date on incredible 4g. I was chatting with her to figure out a phone for my wife and figured is ask. Suffice it to say, I won't call. No need to waste their time

Image sense, 1.5 ghz vs 1.2 ghz. Better front facing camera (vga, 1.3mp), bigger screen with higher resolution.

The front facing camera difference... does anyone really care all that much?

Bigger screen is a negative to me

Word is the screens look the same side by side.

Processors are also benchmarking around the same

image sense... what features are missing on 4g. I heard the important ones are present

Of what I hear, the size and maybe a small camera difference is all that really separates them functionally. Of course being on Verizon's network is also a huge difference.

Thank you for your reply. It was exactly what I was wondering about.

Sounds like you have found the perfect phone for yourself. :)

Well the trained (if that) monkeys at Verizon are only taught to talk about the "Droid" series.

Every single one of them in the stores tell me to get a maxx because it's "the best phone we have right now". I'm not willing to argue that point, the battery yes I give you that.

However, when I told them I don't want to sign a 2 year contract with 6 month old technology (the only thing newer than the 11-11-11 release is the battery), they just stated they don't know how the shared data thing will go, but stopped short of telling me I'm crazy for saying I'll have to upgrade or lose unlimited.

HTC gets the shaft by Verizon, like Motorola does by Sprint since it's not an Evo series phone, or Motorola does with AT&T or T-Mobile because it's not an iPhone or GalaxyS.

This makes HTC devices easier to find in stock and more often discounted on Verizon. So far it has been to my advantage having a Rezound and not Gnex or Razr, since it wasn't a flagship phone.

The dInc 4G will quietly be released with pretty much no publicity, kind of like how they wished the Bionic would have been if it hadn't been a "Droid" and months late.

It should be pretty good, I just need to save out the money because I don't think selling my Rezound to pay for it would be worth my while, value wise, and all the effort it will take.

Release it already!

Verizon is not stupid, they knew exactly when they wanted to release the Inc4g after the double data ends. It's all about money, if you think they care that you need a new phone now and can't wait for this one, they don't. By delaying after double data ends, they win.

The phone business is crazy, the latest tech stuff this week will be old news next week. I think they jumped the gun on official release news of Inc4g at CTIA, people were all excited and a month later it's becoming old news. By the time they release it, something better will be right behind it.

But also dont forget if you get a new phone/contract within 14 days you can return to store and pay 35$ and get 4gb of data to exchange for different phone. I may end up doing this is the inc4g is better then the razr but im loving my razr right now

What is interesting is that the sales rep told me they have been told grandfathered unlimited data will be staying. I went to buy a thunderbolt for free after rebate and she told me just to keep unlimited.

I decided to stick unlimited since we almost never go over 2gb on any line anyway.

So at this point, unless there is some big delay, I think we can expect it on June 7. It was put up on Verizons TestMan site, some stores have already recieved accessories, double data ends 2 days before, and that date marks a little over a week since the HTC phones cleared customs.

Really, I can't imagine what could delay this phone another month when it was initially set to be released on May 10.
Again, me being optimistic. One side of me knows this phone wont arrive til late June or sometime in July, and just get delayed til after the shared data plans because we all know how much VZW likes pissing its customers off.

I may have missed in this thread but has anyone explained what camera features are lost without the Image Sense chip? Whatever the answer, it sounds like this camera will be a step up from the camera on the ORG DINC.

Ability to take photos while shooting video.

No, that is a feature of the Incredible 4G, as a few people have mentioned above. I think the primary features missing are burst mode and always auto focus, those are the things you'll immediately notice missing. Plus the ImageSense chip improves all around picture quality as well as taking pictures/video in lowlight environments. It'll still be a great camera though, more than I need.
